I noticed on a few posts that some people are giving their little ones lots of dairy products. My daughter eats yogurt melts (Gerber) and cheese about once a week but since she won't eat from a spoon giving her yogurt or oatmeal is not an option. She drinks 21 oz of formula a day and does eat lots of veggies and whole grains. Should I be giving her more dairy products?

The formula has plenty of vitamins and calcium in it so I wouldn't worry, green leaft veg like spinach also has plenty of calcium so you could try giving her that for mealtimes.

My daughter will be 10 months on the 21st... she eats so many other things that I honestly never really thought about making dairy products a staple...

How old is your baby? I didn't start my son on dairy until around 8 mos. I have read a lot of things saying starting them on dairy is OK at 6 months, but I've also read stuff that says wait until they're a year. As long as she's getting formula or breastmilk as her main source of nutrition until she's 12 months old, everything else is not as important.

I will say that after 2 months on dairy, he eats it almost everyday (I still don't give him milk or soft cheeses).
