So for most of us this is our second preg. What will you do (while preg or giving birth) the same or different as your 1st?

Well the 1st I was induced an it was a tough labor on my lil boy he had some prob an had to stay in the NICU for 4 days so this time round Im goin to have a scheduled c-section so my baby wont have prob an we dont have to stay in the hospital as long or atleast baby dont have to be in the NICU... that broke my heart, couldnt hold, feed or hardly even see my baby till like the last day!!

That's hilarious, Anna- because I've been thinking the same thing! Last time I went in at 3 a.m. & labored until C-section at 6 p.m... so wasn't looking too pretty! This time, it will be a scheduled C-section, so I'm going to be sure & shower RIGHT before I go in & do my hair etc... (I don't do makeup usually anyway). I'm also bringing my own jammies, slippers & robe (new ones, if you please!) and my own sleepers for the baby so the nursery pictures turn out cuter!

I have to have a c-section so I am going to have my hair and make-up look nice, for once, never would have happened after my last labors... Now I will really like the pics taken right away!

I had an epidural with the first, so I'm hoping to try and go natural this time, don't know how well that will go! One thing I know that I will do with this child is wipe its face whether it wants it or not! My 2yo still hates it and throws a fit when I try! I am going to try to really take the prenatal vitamins all the way through this time, last time they made me soo sick!

My first labor was very long...23 hrs. I made it about 10 hrs and then got the epidural. I would like to make it without one this time because my epidural wore off for the actual delivery so I felt it all anyways. I figure if I went through the delivery without pain meds then I should be able to make it the whole time. Hopefully this delivery isn't as long. Plus because I had the tape on my back so long from the epidural I had a horrible allergic reaction that left me with this incredibly itchy rash for two weeks. Recovering from a delivery was bad enough, but having to deal with that too sucked! Also we did not find out what we were having with our 1st and plan to do the smae for this one. The surprise at the end of 9 months is so much fun!

Didn't find out boy/girl with our daughter, and don't plan on finding out this time!

I think I'm eating healthier, simply because I try & feed my 22 mo very health meals, and I eat what she eats! I wanted all-natural the first time, but had to go on Pic when I didn't progress (water had broke 4 hours before, steady contractions every 2-3 minutes, but only at 1 cm & baby's O2 levels were low), and after 8-9 hours on pic & STILL only at 3cm, ended up with a c-section (I also have high blood pressure, so that was a consideration, too.) No pain killers until the c-section, tho! My dr. and I have actually already talked about a scheduled c-section :( Not my 1st choice, but I have VERY narrow hips (even tho I'm not skinny- more a size 10-12- I'm an "apple" rather than a "pear"!), and with how much it stressed the baby last time & still never progressed well, it just seems like the safest choice for both of us.

We did ncb too! No drugs - but they had to give me an episiotemy (sp?) :( And we will do it again... We are changing hospitals - the new one has more midwives. So far I haven't been eating well - but I am going to try and start ASAP. We'll see how THAT goes!
