My baby had the same thing. My friend told me to put breast milk on the bumps. I did and they were gone in two days. I don't know why it worked but it did.

My daughter also has baby acne, my doc says its normal and theres nothing you can do to help. Their little hormones are adjusting and thats what they beleive cause the acne. Apparently it will all clear up on its own! =)

My daughter had red bumps on her face and she kept rubbing it like it itched. The doctor told me it was an allergic reaction to something that her face was touching. She gave me a prescription cream to mix in a 1 lb. tub of Eucerin lotion. Her face is so much better! Also, she said to make sure that everything is 100% cotton. Polyester can irritate sensitive skin as well as cigarette smoke.

Both of my girls got bad baby acne at around 5 weeks or so. with #1 I switched to Johnson and Johnson Pure and Natural baby wash and it cleared it up in a matter or hours. I've not been so lucky with #2. It seems like all she has to do i lay her face on my shirt while she is eating and she is broken out by the time she finishes her bottle. I'm using the same baby wash for #2 and it hleps it go away, but sur enough if she snuggles when she's eating her next bottle she's broke out again......maybe I should switch my laundry detergent? lol not sure I want to waste my baby detergent on my clothes though being that it is somewhat more expensive the regular

It's just from hormones...it should go away by 8 weeks. My son got them as well- he's 13 weeks now and has beautiful skin- no worries, they will go away!

My Ped gave us prescription strength hydrocotisone and told me to moisturize with aquaphor because hydrocortisone dries the acne out. This works great!

My son got baby acne around 5 wks of age. My doctor said that it will just go away on its own. My doc said to keep their face dry and wipe off any excess milk and don't use creams or lotions. My son was trying to rub his face all over my shirt so we got a cream to help. It went away by 2 months of age, didn't last long!

Hi all - my son was covered as it sounds like most of you - in the ears and all - it went dry and scally and the pimple like rash joined together and got pretty bad - we ended up using goats milk bath and shower wash - he has the most beautiful skin now at 10 weeks old and we are still using it for his baths. On spots that were really bad we would rub the wash into his face undiluted as it is so soft and smells wonderful too. Apparntely the rash / pimples are from our hormones during breast feeding - doesn't that make you feel great when your trying to do the right thing - good luck!

If it is baby acne, than breast milk is great, and washing face with calendula flower petals. My daughter had really bad acne, and that is how I got rid of it. Good luck

I live in australia and the experts here recommend washing bub in only water until 6 months old and moidturise them with sorbelene cream with is purely natural. My son had horrible acne and rashes from my hormones passed through to him and i was told to give him little amounts of water to flush his system out... It worked for us now he is 9 weeks and has gorgeous skin

bad acne runs in my family not with me or my boyfriend, but my daughter has it really bad i find just taking a wet wash cloth and wiping off her face every night just like i would do to clean her face at bath time is helping, cause when i dont do it she has it bad again the next day...

son got that too. And it is clearing up, its been a few weeks... Apparently it doesn't bother the baby, but I know as a mom it is frustrating to look at! I just cleaned his face with soap and water 2wice a day. Then i started to use a dab (literally a dab no bigger then a dime) of 1%hydrocortizone cream @ night and i promise i noticed a serious change after that!

I just read about Breastmilk being good for acne? I tried on my son and it worked. He just had a couple.. I normally just wash off his face with a wet washcloth..no soap and it usually goes away overnight too..So?? I will say, my first son had ezcema and we used free and clear detergent for anything that touches his skin, and we used aveeno bath wash that has no fragrances or dyes..

Good Luck!

My little girl had it really bad for awhile as well, I mean it was everywhere her face, ears, scalp, chest... and then just a couple of days ago it started looking better and is almost completely gone now!

Every baby is different, I have twins and they could not be more different, even in this area too, one of them gets it really bad, the other has the clearest face ever. It is normal for baby acne to happen, sadly there is nothing you can do just know that it is completely normal for this to happen :)

My sons pediatrician told me to use "unscented Dove for sensitive skin" to wash his body and face with. He said that it was actually better on their skin. After the first couple washes his baby acne was completely gone and still hasn't come back...which I'm guessing is due to the fact that I still wash him with the Dove. I hope that helps...good luck :]

My daughter had it REALLY bad, face, ears, neck, and upper chest and back. It's been 3 weeks and it is just about gone. It may sound strange, but I bathe her in Chamomile. Boil 4 bags in 3-4 cups of water and add it to the bath water. I've done this about 5 times now and she is nearly cleared up. Chamolmile is natural so it won't hurt if it doesn't work for you.

If you have a Target store near you go there and buy this stuff called California Baby... my daughter has really sensitive skin and had so much baby acne it was horrible... I switched from Johnson and Johnson to Aveeno Baby and that helped a little but then switched two the California Baby soap and lotion and after to baths her face is so clear!

My baby was born with baby acne too. If I lessen the amount of soda and chocolate it would help a whole lot better, it's sometimes so hard not to eat and drink that stuff! He is 2 months old now and it seems like it's clearing, not totally, I'm still waiting for it to clear, sometimes I use my fingers to help it along :)

does your boy have cradle cap, or even just dry scalp? I am finding with my 2 month old boy when he has a dry scalp, he seems to get bad acne too.

Unfortunatly not. I asked my doc the same question cause my little boy was born with them too. They just went away about a week ago and he's 2 months now so just wait it out, it will go away.
