Routines and solid foods

What sort of routines are your September babies on? Maysen has never been on one, always just follow his lead but he will not take more 40 minutes for a nap during the day and still doesn't sleep through the night, so I'm considering maybe starting him on some sort of routine. Also, what time do you put your little ones down at night and what time do they wake in the morning?

Also started solid foods within the past few weeks and all of a sudden Maysen will hardly touch his milk when I try to give him that, its a nightmare and he will have around 4oz per bottle, 5 bottles a day inc a dream feed at 1030, and will usually take about 4 when he wakes at night, is that normal? He was taking 6+ oz per bottle before solids. If you've started solids yet, how much do they eat? He's eating porridge and fruit for breakfast, half a jar of baby food for lunch and a whole jar for dinner. And after he has finished these he still wants more! I'm surpised cos he was a low birthweight baby at only 4lb 5oz, he now weighs 13lb at 5 months 3 weeks.

Sorry, lots of questions :)

you could probably try giving him his bottle before his solids if you're worried about how much he's drinking...or is it the bottle itself? have you tried a sippy cup? maybe if he had one he'd take little drinks throughout the day?

taya gets up in the morning at 7 and breastfeeds, then has solids after that (two ice cube-sized portions of fruit and 3 tbsp of cereal). at 10:30 she nurses again, then lunch at noon (2-3 portions of fruit and 3 tbsp of cereal, sometimes more if she's hungry), then nurses. she has a nap from 12:30 until 3:30 or 4 (we just phased out morning nap because she sleeps so much better in the afternoon this way). when she wakes up, she has 4-5 portions of vegetables and nurses. she has 8 oz of formula at 6, then nurses right before bed at 7:30 or 8.

taya was 10 lbs 2 oz when she was born, she weighs 17 lbs 9 oz now. she's slept through the night since she was 6 weeks old, and i think it's because she eats sooooo much during the day that she doesn't need to eat at night!
