anyone elses baby crawl backwards but just cant seem to go forwards? lol, i havent experienced this before as my daughter cruised first crawled later but my son has worked out he can get on his hands and knees but wont move his hands forwards so he just ends up pushing himself backwards into the most awkward places!

Yes, my DD creeped backwards and bum scoots from 8-9mos and then decides to front crawl at an instant! Amazing how babies adapt to new skills without any hint, lol.

Now at coming 11mos, she's slowly pulling herself up, on all fours bum in the air looking at her feet, cute!

lol My son finally went forward on accident. He kinda fell forward and then was like, oh that worked. haha Now he does a butt scoot and uses one foot to scoot himself where he needs to go instead of crawling so idk if he'll ever do a real crawl... but hey, I guess as long as he's moving... lol

Haha, this is priceless. My son started crawling backwards when he was about 5 months. It took him almost a full 3 months to finally crawl forwards. It was always funny watching him see a toy he wants across the room and him start going backwards and his face like O.o why is it getting farther away. but he eventually just got tired of always crawling backwards when he saw something he wanted so he just rolled to it. Hehe. Then, we went out of town and he was trying to keep up with puppies so he started learning to go forwards and then he crawled for the first time to his daddy after he hadn't seen him for a while. I always enjoyed watching him go backwards especially with his faces. Hmmm I wonder if it is just boys, cause it was my son D'etta's son and yours as well. Ha, boys will be boys!

Aw, mine just started doing that too. This boy hated tummy time so I'm just happy to see him getting up on his hands and knees and moving. lol It is frustrating for him when he knows where he wants to go... but keeps getting further and further away from it. Don't worry though, soon he'll start rocking back and forth and take the leap of faith to take one hand off the ground and propel himself forward. Then the crawling will begin and probably be short lived as he'll then begin to pull himself up on whatever is handy. :)
