well, she gets to choose the books she likes, but books a kindergarten can read. And, when she gets a books that's suitable for her age, she will read but very very slow. we read together, she reads to me, she reads to her baby sister, but very slow. English isnt her first language, but it is a language she uses everyday in school and at home. Her language is a mixture of English, Taiwanese, Mandarin, and Yapese. So, I dont think she has any major problems per se, but I'd like to find ways to improve her English skills you know? What do you think?

let him see you read more. let him pick out the books he wants you both to read. reading is reading it should not matter . start liking what he likes.. god its hard but then you can both enjoy the books he will want to read or you read to him. kids will do what they see not always what they are being told. so start reading sister !
