is not something

we do for other people,

But it's first for Us to get well-

to heal from the hurt we carry from day-to-day

For when you have sadness and hurt inside, you will indeed

pour out both,

so that is why we have to learn to Forgive ourselves First....

and then move on to forgiving others.

Don't Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,

When the road you're trudging seems uphill,

When funds are low and the debts are high,

And you want to smile but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit

Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Success is failure turned inside out,

The silver tint on the clouds of doubt,

And you can never tell how close you are,

It may be near when it seems afar.

So, stick to the fight when you're hardest hit.

It's when things go wrong, that you musn't quit...........

In life you may have setbacks

And you will not know what to do

Yet you need to keep the faith

Keep your anchor holding, holding

Sometimes a thing gets so low

That you don’t know how it is going to be

But God has already worked things out

Just keep your anchor holding, holding

In times of sickness and pain

Everything looks so grim

Yet everything will abate after a while

Just keep your anchor holding, holding

When you are staggering out yonder

And you cannot find the answer

Suddenly a letter will show you the way

Keep your anchor holding, holding

Jesus’ death on Calvary was for a reason

He paid the ransom sacrifice

And redeemed us for a blessing

Always keep your anchor holding, holding

Our children are our future, they are pieces of you and pieces of me, We see ourselves in our children as the run carefree over natures beautiful green grasses in the summer sun

We hear our childrens laughter as they play and our hearts flutter with gladness just to hear that beautiful sound.

We feel our childrens cryies when they hurt, the pain, the ache in our heart cryies out as we reach for them tenderly and hold them in a comforting embrace and with a soft whisper... I LOVE YOU it will be alright.

They look up at us from with in our embrace and smile warmly, as we wipe their tears away, our hearts melt as we hold them close, for we know they'll be up and grown with children of their own.

Life is Laughter, Life is Crying

Life is Safe, Life is Danger

Life is Beautiful, Life is Ugly

Life is Kind, Life is Cruel

Life is to short make the most of it

Live, Love & Laugh a lot

Smile through your tears and the sun will shine again

Life is what we make it.

I am not me, I am not you
Who am I

I am pieces of you but not of him
Who am I

I am lost, I am found
Who am I

I am not whole, Yet i am
Who am I

I don't fit in, But I do
Who am I

I am in a crowd of people
and yet so alone
Who am I

I have found the missinf part of my self, I am not so all alone, I know who I am finally free and I am glad to be me.

I am loved, I know you love me.

Who am I , I am me

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.

We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.

We cannot change the inevitable.

The only thing we can do is play on hte one string we have, and that is our attitude.

Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.

Gloria I am not sure if this post belongs her or in your cooking thread, but I thought I would post my thoughts here.

Your cooking question made me think about my own two daughters. Our youngest is going to be a SR. in College in the fall. She is 21 years old. Our oldest is just finishing her degree in Culinary Arts and Food and Restaurant Management. She is 25. Both young women are beautiful girls that Love the Lord and are seeking His Will for their lives.
In the Christian Mommies Community we have a video about Legacy. This Legacy is concerning how we as Christians pass in our Love for Christ to our children.

Well Your cooking thread started me thinking about other types of Legacies we leave our children. Non as important as our Christian Legacy, but all part of what makes us who we are.
Our daughters started cooking with me when they were very young. I let then "help" bake banana bread, cookies, pies, etc. almost before they could walk.
Although it was not until about the last 4 years that our youngest daughter really liked to cook, (I think she just had to find the type of food she wanted to know how to cook, more than not liking it all together.) Our oldest daughter from the time she was 8 wanted to be in the kitchen trying new recipes and using what ever spices I had in the cupboard. She became a very good cook by the time she was 16. Now she is in Singapore for 10 more days before she goes to Thailand for a week. When she gets back she will get her diploma.
I have to wonder if my grandmother had not taught my mother to cook and on down the generational lines if Kristen would be the good cook that she is.

I guess I was thinking about this because because we have several families in our church that have or are in the process of adopting children. These children's future will be so different because of the Loving Christian Families they are now a loving part of

When I really think about all of this it reminds me that I am as are all Christians Adopted into a Christ Like Legacy if we just chose to do our Father's Will for our lives.

Thank you for letting me ramble
A Sister in Christ, Anne

God never promised:

A life without pain,

Laughter without tears,

Or sun without rain,

But He did promise,

Strength for the day,

Comfort for the tears,

And light for the way,

And for all who believe

In His heaven above

He rewards their faith

With His everlasting love.......
