Sarah e, I don't know. I didn't want an unnecessary one. I was so anxious at the end because she wasn't moving much. Last 2 weeks bpp but no us for size. I was having contractions and dr stripped membranes at 35 2/7. When I went back at 36 I was 3 cm and we induced that day. Arrived at 1130 ish, labs, enema done. Pit very slowly started til epidural at 3 then turned up often. Complete at abt 1030 and she was born at 1115. She got stuck and was blue and limp at delivery. Stimulated and pinked up but she looked like a prize fighter. Face and arm badly bruised and rt arm paralyzed but with grasp intact. She was 7-15 at 36 weeks with chest girth 36cm and I had gdm. I would have gladly had a csection to prevent her injury. And I do think of it a lot. Prob with ins is we have to much! She was dbl covered and its a pissing contest over who pays more. And this sx was very expensive . Thanks for letting me vent.:)

Sarah e, we have no lawyer or lawsuit . We are having trouble with insurance paying for surgery. I don't know if it could have been prevented. I have been a nurse for 22 years and work in nursery where I delivered. I'm afraid for what the future holds for our miracle baby G5 1 living. I was recently told at least she is alive. Very true. She has no neuro deficits. But she has already has 1 surgery

I will be starting a lawsuit for my own birth within the next month for compensation for myself and my family for the financial and mental trauma of my being born with erbs palsy due to medical malpractice.

i am currently having a lawyer look into my case, she feels that we have a strong case, but everyones story is different. My doctor never showed up, and I had to beg them to induce me after 3 days of not feeling my son move at all.

If this happened to me now, I'm sure I'd be a millionaire, but this was the 70's. We won the malpractice lawsuit, but it wasn't much of a compensation.
