my 8 year old has arthritic pain associated with EP any advice

hello my name is Jess, my 8 year old daughter has EP and for the most part leads a normal life! She of course does have physical limitations due to the condition of her left arm. Our problem is that as she gets older, she is developing almost arthritis in her arm and shoulder. We do stretches each day, but sometimes they make the pain worse. Does anyone have any advice as far as what I can be doing to help with stretching and pain in the arm? As a parent it just breaks my heart to not be able to "fix" what is wrong. We are truly blessed that it is not worse than it is, we just need some tips if anyone has any for us? Thank you and God Bless

Hi Jessica,
My daughter is 11 and has right Erb's... She also has been experiencing pain especially with her recent growth spurt. What really seemed to comfort her with the pain is using the "magic bag" that you heat up in the microwave.
She also likes to uses it before she does her stretches (yoga).
She has also been known to use ice and take Epson salt baths.

It's been hard to find professional willing to work with children but It's also been suggested that chiropractic is helpful ... the only blessing is that it's been so much easier to try stretches with the rubber bands and my daughter can communicate with me on what helps and hurts

I wish you luck and comfort
