We are moving to the other side of the country today, so won't be around family or friends for Xander's birthday. We'll be living in a seaside town so are thinking of just spending the day at the beach or something like that. And getting a really big cake that he can try for the first time, and them play with the rest of it. He's a halloween baby, but here in Australia Halloween isn't really a big deal.

My son, Jaylin will turn one October 26th... we are having his party on the 30th.. being so close to halloween, we thought it would be neat to have a "halloween" themed party with costumes and all that-- minus all the scary stuff! just pumpkins and the orange and black colors- still havent decided what type of cake to get that would tie in with the Halloween theme but also stand out as a birthday cake!! i like your idea of keeping it simple, unfortunately, i'm going a little overboard with this party! lol...

My daughter will be 1 on October 7th and we are having her Grandparents & a few close friends over to the house for a little party. We got all her decorations and stuff it's just pink & girlie first birthday decorations. She doesn't have too much interest in TV characters but just make sure that the decorations are not crazy and the house isn't too full. I read on babycenter that 8 guests should be the max

My son will be 1 on the 21st of October and we are doing an underwater theme. My husband is a scuba diver and we found the cutest invitations with a little baby snorkler :)

We are having a family party at a community center near our hometowns as we now live 2 hours away and all our family is back there. This will be the underwater party. We are just going to serve typical party finger foods as we are having the party between lunch and dinner time so we aren't providing a huge meal.

My husband wants to do a party with our friends and their lo's locally at gatti town. I think he's crazy and I told him a 1 year old cannot play games at gatti town and we have plenty of years to do a party like that, but I don't think I'm going to be able to talk him out of it..lol! For that party we will probably have guests pay their own way if they wish to come and provide cake and ice cream. Either way, should be a blast!

I debated with myself to either have a Spongebob Squarepants themed party or a 1st Birthday themed party. Factory Card Outlet has a bunch of decorations for both types. I figure I better go with the 1st birthday theme. I'm sure we'll do a Spongebob themed party next year or sometime. This will probably be the only themed party I get to choose. We are having it at my folks house because they are centrally located with all the relatives and their house is a little bigger than ours. I just don't know what kinds of activities to have for the little ones other than toys. Any ideas for activities? But I know I am making a tiny three tiered cake for my son. I can't wait to make it!

We don't have much family in the area so I was thinking about taking her to the zoo. I know she is young but she loves looking at animals, so...

We will probably go back to the house or maybe do a picnic and let her have cake for the first time.

A party does sound fun though! Enjoy!

My youngest daughter will turn one on October 12. Her big sis turns four 3 weeks before that, so we've got 2 b'day parties close together! Our baby is small and we nicknamed her "Pinky" , so we're having a Pink Party! Pink cupcakes, pink punch, balloons...you get the picture:) We may do more a lunch than a supper...not sure yet. Having the big supper for our other daughter. Same gang coming over, so might switch it up a bit.
