My daughter is a few days away from being five months and she will not roll over. Is this normal? How old was your little ones when they did?

My son is 6 1/2 months old and he just got the rolling back to front down... He has been doing the front to back for a while now but just got frustrated when trying to go the other way... She will get it in her own time.. There is no set time that they have to have these milestones accomplished... Everyone develops differently and at different rates... just have patience with her, and don't give in if she gets annoyed with it...

My 1st child was really forward and rolled over at a very young age but my son is 5 months and hasn't rolled over yet. He has only just started to rock from side to side when on his back so think he will be a whie yet. Don't worry they will do it when they r ready xx

My little guy turned five months on the 12th. He is rolling all over the place like a pro since about the end of february. Now I cant seem to get him to hold still. If I remember correctly it did take my daughter a little longer to roll... now i am just wondering when he is going to sit up by his self. For some reason I am thinking he should be by now. He is trying but he keeps just tipping over.

My little boy was born on 14th Oct and rolled over at 19-20 weeks! He has always been realy forward and hit his milestones much quicker than average though! Some babies do things quicker and some are abit slower, they learn at there own pace. Soon she will be rolling around everywhere!!

My son started rolling at about 4 months but did it only when we weren't trying to get him to do it. I walked out of the room and back in (so he couldn't see me) and he was rolling on his own. That was a couple of weeks ago, just before he was 5 months. My friend's daughter is 3 weeks younger and has been rolling over since about 3 months...

Its good to read these... My son is a little over 5 months and he only started rolling over the other day. He was so close for so long and I was under the assumption that babies rolled over at 4 months. He did it like crazy when he was only a month but then stopped once he started to grow more. So I am glad to read that a lot of babies waited as long as him. He's got the hang of it now in both directions but I figured he was a bit behind in his development.

My second daughter is going to be 5months on the 29th of march and from her stomach to her back she only did it about 5 times when she was 3months old. But lately she doesn't seem to want to do it anymore. What she does do is roll over from her back to her stomach. My first daughter didn't start rolling over till about 5 months. Every child is different and will do things at his/her own pace

my daughter has rolled over 2 times but now just gets really mad when I put her on her stomach. she won't even try to push up or rock her hips. She'll be 5 months on the 29th! She ends up getting mad and putting her head down to try and chew on her hands! Both times she rolled over I don't think she had any idea what she did and wouldn't do it again once i rolled her back on her tummy. Her pediatrician wasn't concerned and said that its pretty common these days! I just wish she wouldn't get so mad on her tummy!

My baby is 5 months and she learned to roll from her tummy to back about a month ago. She would roll every time I put her down for tummy time for a week straight and since has not even tried. I practice with her every day and she seems to think its funny but is just content to lay on her back sucking on her toes. She is very active and hates being in one place for very long.

I read on Baby Center that since babies are now being put on their backs to reduce SIDS, they are rolling over later than babies 20 -30 years ago. my pediatrician is not worried. it was a concern of mine as well. my oldest didn't roll over till almost 6 months

My daughter will be 5 months on the 28th and she just started rolling over from her back to belly. She hated having tummy time so i figured it would take awhile. She had been doing it for a few days, my mother-in-law has seen it a few times and so has her daddy, but i finally saw her do it today a few times. I think that they progress at their own pace. Don't worry, she will get there. I would put her on the floor on a blanket and a few toys to her side and she would spot them and roll towards them. Or i would get on my belly as well and see if she would roll to try and get to me.

My son will be 6 months old on April 7th. He has been rolling from his tummy to his back since he was 4 months old. In the last three weeks or so he has now mastered rolling from his back to his tummy without getting stuck. He was born Oct 7th 2009.

My son was born Oct 1st and has rolled over once LOL. The doc said since he is chubby its a bit more difficult. He is showing more interest in it and arches his back. Just hasn't figured it out just yet. He is actually closer to rolling over from his back to his belly than from his belly to his back. He would go through long periods of showing not interest then start looking like he was going to.

my baby was 3 months old when she started to roll over:) now at 5 months she could roll over from front to back. once i read in the book, the window of rolling over of a baby could start from 2 - 6 months and the average age is 4 months:) or if you really are concerned about his progress, discuss it with your healthcare provider:)

My little boy turned 5 months on the 13th. He has been going from tummy to back since his 5th week. His arm gets in the way going from his back to his tummy. This past week he started sitting up by himself (without propping). I showed the pediatrician and he said that's what most 7 month old babies are doing! :)

my 5 month old already rolls both ways, but that does not mean that a 5 mth old that does not roll over is not normal. Every child develops at its own pace, and it also depends on their interest and personality.

My son was 5 months on the 23rd. He can roll from tummy to back most of the time, but sometimes gets stuck in the skydiving pose and can't work out why he can't get over. He's been doing that for about 3 weeks or so, but has absolutely no interest in rolling from his back to tummy. I think his feet are to interesting to him. Don't worry. She will surprise you one day when you are not looking!!

My Oct baby daughter rolled belly to back at 5 weeks and from back to belly at almost 11 weeks but she loves her tummy time. The secound I put her on her back she rolls on her belly and when she rolls herself back onto her back she just rolls straight back to her belly. She crawled commonando style from 3 n !/2 months. However my first child didnt roll over untill she was almost 5 months she was a different child to my secound and hated belly time I just started with small amounts of time on her belly and worked it up everyday. My 2 kids could not be more different

My daughter is 5 months and 2 weeks old and she just rolled over for the first time today. If you want to help your baby roll over you can lay a blanket down and put your baby on it and than gently pull the blanket up and see if it encourages your baby to roll. If that makes sense, I tried to explain it the best way I knew how.
