my lil guy also does this, he tries to get both fists in. Sometimes he seems to bite onto his fist, his nose gets all crinkled, then he pulls it out right away and starts again. Glad other babies do this too :)

Self soothing....my daughter does it to. Now she has also discovered her thumb as well. It's not a bad thing..now if she wakes up before feeding time she soothes herself back to sleep that way. In the beginning she did it when she was hungry and after speaking to the Dr and wasting a whole lot of formula I learned that it's just what they do. It's all about self exploration and discovery :-)

My baby also loves sucking on her hands, I think she is fascinated with them.

My little girl does the same thing - loves sucking on her entire fist...wish she would just do the thumb thing instead because it just looks so funny. She loves it and it keeps her happy most of the time - she is 14 weeks and has been doing this for quite a while.

My son does it all the time and his hands smell really bad too. It comforfts him and he likes to do it when he's going to sleep. I just don't like the stinky hands lol.

YES I swear shes gonna get the whole thing in her mouth sometimes! she's been easing up on it a little now that she can grasp things and put THEM in her mouth now. I hate it though cuz she will do it right after she eats and her hands start to smell like sour milk!

YEP!! our little guy is 10wks and he's been doing it for a couple of weeks, but in the last week it's all the time, and drooling all the time. I read somewhere that it's part of their development and by sticking things in their mouth the are learning about it. I dunno if it's true, but he seems to enjoy it. Plus a bonus with my guy is he uses it to soothe himself to sleep most times :-)
