How thick do you make babys rice cereal if he's been eating it from a spoon for about 3 weeks now?

Well I'm assuming you started out pretty thin and watery. I just gradually each week add a little less liquid. You'll know if you made it too thick because your baby will push it out or gag on it so just add a little more liquid. As a general rule you don't want it running right off the spoon, but it shouldn't stick either. It should slowly drip off.

Been giving rice for 5 weeks now for beakfast. started really runny.i mixed about half a teaspoon with nearly an ounce of her soya milk. now she has 3 teaspoons of cereal with just ouve 1oz of her milk. she likes it thick and enjoys chewing it. she is 20 weeks old and every meal has lumps in and has finger food too. Just go with what you baby likes you could try it thicker then if it's not liked just put a little more milk in to it.:)

I also find that my Daniel like it different on diferrent days - its easier for me to make it thicker and if he's not eating well I dilute it with more brestmilk!

My doctor told me it should be the consistency of oatmeal but I make it a little runnier than that. We mix about 2 tbsp of cereal with 3 tbsp of formula.

I agree, I always based it off what I knew he could handle. I even put a tiny bit of cereal in his veggies because he doesnt like it so runny. He is 4 and a half months now....also a very big boy!!

BetteAnn's is like yougurt, but you should watch how your baby takes it, then judge if you think it should be any thicker, some babies like different textures then what most babies do, let your baby tell you by his/her actions
