i went to the doctors the other week with pain in my stomach, i wasn't quite sure what it was as it was quite painful, she told me it was round liament pain, so i just said ok, but lately i have been still in pain but it gets worse after sex, really badly, i can only have sex in certain ways and im scared to do with with my partner...
the round liament pain continues for about 12 hours afterwards, its very frustrating, as my sex drive has picked up lately...
has anyone elses experiencing or had experienced this?

I think you mean round ligament pain, and yes, that's normal. It's your ligaments stretching to accommodate your growing uterus. It can be very painful! But it's normal. A warm bath can help relax the muscles and help with the pain. Although sometimes just changing position can help. This is baby #5 for me, and the ligament pain has been the worst with this one, but it's normal in all pregnancies. My pain was lasting most of the day for about 5 days, but then got much better. I've also had the pain after sex. this could be ligament pain or braxton hicks contractions. Closer to your due date, these will be real contractions, and can be a good way to get labor started. But I doubt you have anything to worry about at this point. Pain after sex is pretty normal. Try different positions (like you on top to control how deep your hubby goes) or try a warm bath/shower after. That might help the pain go away faster. And when in doubt, call your doctor. hope that helps.

I've had the same pain, off and on during this pregnancy as well. I'm a nurse and on my feet all the time. I dont remember it so much with my first, but definetly had it was my last pregnancy as well. I'm only 21 weeks along, but since i'm expecting twins i'm measuring over 7 months along! I questioned my dr about the pain at the last apointment and he also confirmed that it's most likely round ligament pain. It's the main ligament that holds your uterus in place and as you grow and stretch, so does the ligament, causing the pain and cramping.

I haven't had much cramping during or after sex, but as soon as I feel uncomfortable in my stomach/abdomen area I rotate to a better position. Use pillows to prop yourself in various ways if you have to, it usually helps. And don't be afraid to tell your lover if he is going to hard or too deep, or if you need to switch positions. You're still having sex so I'm sure he would be happy to accommodate anything you need :)

I'm not sure what Liament is? I have been having like crapping pains druing and after sex. It last awhile after we are done. I'm scared to have sex all the time. Not just because of the pain but sex can start the process of labor. I have alot of side aches to. The best position for me is on my side the spooning.
