I am 12 weeks late from my period, it will be 13 weeks this week. I have had x3 negative home pregnancy tests and a negative urine test from the doctors. I have just been to the doctors today for a blood test.
I have been experiencing nausea, dizzy, back pain, stomach cramps (like the ones you get before you are due on your period, discharge, change in appetite and as we speak my stomach is hurting and i keep getting weird pains and I'm constantly tired. My doctor said the delay of my period may be due to coming off the pill in feb/march this year. Which is fine but i just 'feel' different. I have been googling this for a while now and have seen a lot of people are in the same boat as me. Its very frustrating :/

It's likely that you tested too early. Most home pregnancy tests won't register a positive result until you've been pregnant for about two weeks. Here's why: Home pregnancy tests work by detecting the presence of the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in your urine. Your body starts to release hCG shortly after conception. If you got a negative result, it's possible that you could still be pregnant but weren't yet producing enough hCG to register a positive test result. Levels of hCG multiply very quickly early in pregnancy, so you should wait a couple of days and test again. Another possibility is that you're having irregular periods for some reason. Things like gaining or losing weight or excess stress or exercise can throw your cycle off from month to month. Of course, these issues can also delay your ability to get pregnant, so you should talk to your doctor about ways you can alter your lifestyle to encourage conception. If you don't get your period for several months and pregnancy tests are still negative, see your doctor to determine if you have a hormone imbalance that could be affecting your period, like thyroid disease or overproduction of the hormone prolactin. In either case, these conditions can be treated with medication and you should be able to get pregnant once they're in check.

Hi, in similar boat, and its driving me nuts not knowing. This would be my 3rd pregnancy I too feel different (it has been 10yr since last child) Have done a lot of reading and some women don't test positive (HPT or Bloods) till 16 weeks or more.

No I wasn't pregnant. I went one doctor, he told me I wasn't to go back on my pill until my period came. I went to a different doctor and she put me back on the same pill. The time before when I was on the pill I only bled one my 7 day break. I now bled small amounts randomly now I'm back on it so I'll have to go back and change it
