15 lbs in 6 mnths is just fine!! You look really tiny like me. Doctors say you should determin your weight gain with how much you weigh B4 you got pregnant. If you are underweight like me you are suppose to gain up to your ideal weight in your first trimester then another 25-35lbs on top of that. Im on baby # 2 an d I was 103lbs when I got preg, which is really underweight, so I had to gain almost 20lbs in my first trimester... Im now almost 30 weeks preg and have gain almost 40lbs, so I need to gain about 8lbs more and I will have gain a sufficent amount of weight, If you are a healthy weight its only 25-35lbs your suppose to gain in total. Heres a breakdown... First trimester you are suppose to gain 3-4lbs, Second trimester 12-14 lbs and your last trimester 8-10lbs. So your doin REALLY good!!!! With my first I gained 25 lbs my whole pregnancy because I was almost 120 wehn I got preg, Hope that gives you a rough Idea of what healthy weight gain should be!!

I have gained 15 pound at 25 weeks and feel huge all over! I lost 2 stone before pregnancy so am very worried about getting it off. I still go to the gym and eat healthy...

I lost 20lbs in the beginning and I have only gained back 2.5 of those 20lbs. I would say you are fine. Everyone always thinks that a pregnant womans body is public property and will ALWAYS share their opinions with you. It is frustrating but just how it is. :(

I am 22 wks and have only gained the 10 Lbs back that I lost during the first trimester. I'm not sure why I haven't gained more because I eat all the time but it's fine with me! My doctor says I'm on the right track and the ultrasound yesterday showed a 1 Lb baby already. I wouldn't worry if I were you. Everyone's bodies are different and yours will do what it needs.

Quoting Libby:

Do not stress about not packing on the pounds.  Sure, pregnant women can gain the weight and nobody thinks twice about it b/c you have an excuse.  But you don't want to gain to quickly b/c that's not healthy.  Sounds like you are right on target.  In my first pregnancy I only gained about 15 total.  I lost first and then started to gain.  So, it's different for everybody.  As long as you're feeling good and the doctor is happy with things, then keep it up!!  Good luck!

I also lost weight at the start, but I was already overweight to begin with (based on BMI calculations).  If you are over weight they recommend that you put on 15 - 20lbs otherwise the excess weight can put extra strain on your body and the baby.  So far I'm 24 weeks and have put on 7lbs.  Most of it in the last 4 weeks.  I'm hoping to remain active by walking daily and ocasional swimming.

I think 15 lbs is great!! You have another 15 weeks to go, so thats plenty of time to gain weight :) Average weight gain is only 25-35 lbs. I am 37 weeks and have gained about 22 lbs this time. I gained 40 lbs with my last son and I had him at 36 weeks.

You're fine!! :)
