After having a miscarriage, is it possible to be pregnant again only a week or more after I stopped bleeding?

I began to miscarry on the 31 of October. About a week and a half ago the bleeding ceased but I continued to have that brownish color mucous down there. I have taken two dollar store pregnancy tests in the last few days and they have both come back negative. I have been hit with a wave of nausea these last four or five days and am not feeling myself. This gives me the hope that I may be pregnant again. Is this possible?

It depends on when the actual pregnancy ended. The bleeding can continue long after the miscarriage has already occured due to hormone changes in your body. It is definitely possible that you could be pregnant now. As far as the nausea and not feeling yourself, the end of the bleeding may have caused this due to the changes your body is likely going through hormonally. Give it another week or so and test again... That way if you are pregnant it gives your body enough time to build up the hormone needed to show up on the test. If you are only a few weeks pregnant, only a blood test could tell that early. I wish you the best of luck. I had a miscarriage last January and was conceived March 5th (or at least that was my last LMP). I am now expecting a baby boy due December 15th.

Thank you for the advice! I will try testing again in the next week. Congratulations on your baby boy :)
