Has anyone else suffered from a bloody nose while pregnant, I never had them with my 1st and I was just wondering if this is common.

my 5 year old daughter has been having random bloody noses frequently..A couple times at school and in middle of night. I guess it's more alerting because there's no subtle hint that she may have one. It's bright red blood and just trickles right down her mouth. She had one last night. Now it has started again. UGh......??????/

I have read that it is fairly common and it is because of the increase blood circulation. I have not experience this in either of my pregnancies thou.

I have.. My sinuses have been reacting terribly to allergy season due to the pregnancy so i've had all the way from a terrible nasal drip to a bloody nose

I have had them.. more often now that I am expecting.. it's weird how our bodies change so much while pregnant.

This is my first child and I get them all the time. It's crazy! One day I had them so bad, the blood was running out of my nose like water. Me and hubby freaked out, and I called the OB but she said it was common, and not to worry... So... Don't worry girl!

Stephanie,
I also suffer from the bloody noses. I wake up every morning with them. I went to the doctors back a few weeks ago when I started getting them and he said that while being pregnant the respiratory tract lining receives more blood. Since it receives more blood you become more congested and will cause the bloody noses. It can also cause bleeding gums as well.

I have had a couple, but I am prone to getting them on a regular basis anyways so I'm not sure if they are a part of the pregnancy or just normal for me.
