Contractions?

Since this morning I have been having extreme cramping off and on. If I am laying down or sitting for a while and then get up I have to immediately sit back down because I can't move. Is this what they call braxton hicks? With my son my water broke and I had to be induced to get him out of me asap, he was full term 3 hrs shy of my due date. I never experienced contractions during the pregnancy. So this is completely new to me. Is this normal or should I call my doctor and get seen? My next appointment is the 13th of January. I am not due until April 10th and am around 25 weeks.

They continued into last night until I went to sleep. I've taken it really easy today and haven't had any problems. My contractions with my son weren't actually that bad. I think thats why his birth was so traumatic though. If my water hadn't broken first I probably wouldn't have thought much of them to be honest. I was talking normally and if I wasn't already at a hospital probably would have continued my day. Thats why yesterday scared me so much because it was something I haven't fully experience before. I've been pretty stressed out lately so I'm going to continue to take it easy w/ minimal housework and of course the every day challenge of dealing w/ a two year old terror. If they come back like they did yesterday I'll call the doctor or head straight to the hospital. Hopefully it was just a practice run and nothing will happen. Thanks. :)

I would certainly call the doctor. If it's braxton hicks, hooray, if not....really really need to do something. Too early for little one to join us. Real contractions are so full on bad...you KNOW. You can't talk though it, you can't walk through it. But, I would call immediately and explain the kind of pain and where you are feeling it and see what they say.
