First Time Mom, Definitely Felt Fetal Movement at 13 weeks, BUT NOW NOTHING

I'm very petite and very short and this is my first pregnancy. I definitely noticed fetal movement at 13 weeks-not just pops or flutters either, but definite shifting and I could feel where it was moving from one side or the other with my bare hand.

Now I'm at 15 weeks, almost 16-28th will be the sixteenth week. And since the 14th week I've felt the movement slow down and now haven't felt anything since maybe 14 wks and 2 days? I'm worried it had to do with a (what I thought was) minor case of pericoronitis. I did not know it was anything to do with infection, because everything I had heard about it was referred to as an "inflammation" and I have had this happen to me before. But apparently this is a super huge deal during pregnancy.

My next appt is in three days on the 28th, but I have been having concerns like this since 14 weeks. Voiced it to my partner, the father of the child, and he thought I was being paranoid and didn't really comfort me very much. AM I being paranoid? Is this normal for their to be a lot of fetal movement/quickening and then suddenly nothing for nearly two weeks? Or should I call them and ask to be seen immediately? Should I have called earlier?

I have no familial support right now, only from my partners side and of that side only his mother. So I had no one else to ask about this. I haven't been trying to dwell on it because of the stress and all that but honestly...the more I try to brush it off the less I feel better. The past five days I just feel like the more I wait the worse things are going to get.

I knew better than to try and ask for help. But this is just wrong, telling me that I didn't feel what I felt. I KNOW what gas is as I'm normally a very gassy person anyways, and like I said, I could definitely feel swift shifting against my hand that did not feel like GAS.

I don't appreciate you telling me that it isn't the baby. I mentioned that I am petite for a reason-I'm very slender and was told by my doctor I would probably begin to feel movement earlier than 18 weeks.

Either way, I felt movement again today, so nothing is actually wrong. My appointment again is in two days, so I'm waiting until then.

You did not feel movement at 13 wks. It was probably gas. Baby is too small and to low to feel movement at 13 wks. Movement is felt more between 18 to 20 weeks at the earliest. You can always call and ask your doc if you are concerned.
