I am one who forgets the vitamins every now and again.. just cause I get busy... I also take kids vitamins instead sometimes cause the prenatal ones don't sit on my stomach well (takin' em more in the evenin' helps with that sometimes).. the thing is, your baby will take what he/she needs out of your body, the baby will be fine.. you on the other hand can experience some deficiencies, calcium and iron especially.. so just be careful and try to remember em, missing one every now and then really won't hurt anything though ;) so I wouldn't get too concerned.

The reason most doctors recommned prentals is to supplement your diet. So, as long as you are eating good, increasing your calcium intake and folic acid intake (easy enough with veggies and fruit), there's no risk. I don't take mine every day, I go weeks w/o taking them because I forget. My 2 older kids are fine and #3 is perfectly healthy. Don't stress - stress is worse than forgetting your vitamin. Deep breathe and if you want to remember to take them every day, why not put them in a little cup (like a liquid medicine measuring cup) on your bathroom counter, or (where I've learned to put mine) on the window sill behind the sink. Somewhere you are everyday and would catch your eye.

I didn't take vitamins for the first trimester because I was feeling sick and the tablets would make me feel worse. They also made me gag and couldn't swallow them. I'm 20 weeks now and have been taking an iron tablet and folate tablet for a few weeks now. My baby is growing fine. Don't worry if you miss them every now and again. Your bub will be ok. :)

I am always forgetting vitamins esp when I am not home at night when I usually take them sooo I just don't I am 37 weeks on Wednesday and my baby is all healthy and strong! I wouldn't stress too much about it!!! I always felt the same way esp when I was earlier along because this is my first too, but I know so many people who don't even take them and they have healthy babies!

I wouldn't get too worried about taking the vitamins but if you are worried you can do what I do. I set an alarm on my phone to remind me to take my vitamin. It does help keep me on track but I don't always remember and the baby is doing great. Try not to get too stressed about the little things. It does more damage than good.

I never took any vitamins with my daughter 10 years ago and she turned out fine, this time around I was taking them everyday the flinstones ones cause the prenatual (sp?) ones make me sick. I have not taken any for the last 1 to 2 months and nothing is wrong with the baby, growing and progressing just fine.

I will be 31 weeks on wednesday, and I have only taken flinstones vitamins off and on throughout my pregnancy because I have had morning sickness the whole time. I go in weekly for dr. visits and bubs is just fine. I know a lot of people that have not taken any vitamins during pregnancy, and had healthy children. Missing one or two shouldn't cause any ill harm to the baby.

I am 37 weeks and I havent been perfect about taking the vitamin. I set a little reminder on my cell phone and put the bottle in my purse so its always with me :) I don't think missing one will change anything.
