Heartburn in throat, really bad

I'm 36 weeks along, just a few more weeks to go and last night just before bed my throat was on fire and I didn't really burp, more of breathed out a little quickly, and could feel/taste vomit that immediately went down. I was so sleepy that I attempted to go to sleep but had to sit up a few times for 5 minutes or so but was so exhausted I fell asleep. Today I woke up with an upset tummy(diarrea) and have just been feeling icky. But now the burning in my throat is getting really bad again, can feel it some in my chest, nauseated/acidy tummy. Basically, I'm so miserable I have the biggest urge to just sit down and ball my eyes out. Has anyone else had heartburn like that in their throat? I can barely speak and everytime I breathe I can feel it rising. Also, any ideas on what to do for it? It's 6:30pm here in North Texas where I live so my doctor's office is closed and I really don't want to sit 3-4hours in the emergancy room with germy people and have them tell me something simple to do. Thanks in advance!

Really DO NOT recommend taking prescription medications of ANY sort, especially while pregnant. Prescription drugs kill. Period. Look to natural cures. Natural foods. Stop drinking coffee. Starbucks has STOCK in pharmaceutical companies that manufacture meds for GERDS. Think about that. Try juicing carrots, organic. Drink Aloe Vera. Google NATURAL remedies for this. Pharmaceuticals are deadly expensive band aids. If you are looking for a CURE don't look to our traditional model of healthcare. It's just about making billions. It's not about health, prevention and causes. It's about selling you pills and perpetuating illness.

i've had acid reflex all my life and since i've been pregnant its gotten really worse i'm 32 weeks right now. but i've used stuff like bannanas or crackers before i went to bed. or if its really bad take tums. but i drink a glass or 2 or water before i go to bed. and always have a glass beside my bed. but sumtimes if it gets too bad i'll cough soo much i puke. and it suxs majorly. i still wake up out of a dead sleep tired as hell coughing to death but for me the water helps a lot. also try and eat early i've done that too. start eating at like 5 or 6 and go to sleep at like 9 or 10 it really helps cause ur not full and all the food has digesed. hope it helped :)

Gaviscon or rennie tablets worked for me, i had heartburn from about 12 weeks til i had my baby it was the worst ever i couldnt eat anything, because it mad me feel yuk, but youll get through it, it usually means that the baby is growing and put pressure on everything...good luck

This is my second pregnancy and at 26 weeks I have massive heartburn! The thing I find that works best is Tums, Peppermint (weather in tea form or just smelling the essential oil, and sitting upright. There have been a few nights where I have fallen asleep halfway sitting up! And a little exercise helps too like a short walk in the cool night!

i always have a bottle pof gaviscon next to my bed

i get it even if i smell something that smells so good

but have something to prevent it before you go to bed just to ease it and if you get it after eating always have it before eating to it reduces the intensity of the stomach acid
