[deleted account] ( 2 moms have responded )

My name is Erin I am 23 years old. I just found out not to long ago that I am pregnant. The father wants nothing to do with me or the baby and is pushing for an abortion. It breaks my heart because I know I would be a good mom but I don't know if I am ready. Sadly the babies father was a one night fling but I've known him since high school. I am so worried and stressed. I want to keep the baby....but I don't know if it's for the best. Ive thought about adoption and it just makes me cry. My mom is standing 100% behind me and it helps a lot. I just need some advice from other young single moms.

I've kept a child from rape at age 15, from a fiance leaving me while pregnant around 20, and then eventually married someone in my late 20's & we have great kids, all of them no matter how conceived.
I even considered abortion when I was younger even though I had always thought I was pro life :(
You already have 1 thing alot of women don't have in your circumstances... A supportive Mom. So did/do I, and she's my best friend now.
Do your research on what is involved with an abortion.
Then think about if you can personally live with that decision. (please don't - adoption would be so much better if you have to, so many people desperately want a baby of their own & private adoptions are paid for by the adopters
including many of your expenses) - research adoption.
Then think about adoption & if you could live with that decision too. L
Keep your baby if you think you can do it, adopt it out if you can't. But the miracle of a baby is a beautiful & it can be scary to become a mom again even when you already are so you aren't alone. Make this decision for you & your baby. Don't let anyone tell you what is right or wrong for your life. Rely on the positive support you do have. You'll love this baby no matter what your decision is so remember to choose what you can live with, what you feel is best. And congratulations by the way & best of wishes to you :)
