Help please, baby b no heart beat

Need some opinions. Been driving myself nuts for almost two weeks. Had an u/s done at 6 weeks 4 days. Doc found two sac's, only one had what you could tell was a baby inside with a little flutter inside it. Baby b was in a separate sac but was not much to it. no heartbeat. Go back in 2 days for another u/s. Is baby b just to small or did baby b just not continue to develop? Anyone else have a this happen to them?

Honestly most people have "twins" to start with and never know it the second one dissovles before it becomes an issue. There are circumstances where if you go in early enough (which you did) you can catch the second sac. At this point it could be either way. That is on the early side to catch a heart beat - so could be fine in a couple weeks - one baby is always weaker then the other with twins - or could just be you haven't absorbed the second sac.

Being a mom of twins, i've learned that it is actually more common then people know to have twins and not even know it. Most people don't get ultrasounds before 16 weeks, and it's common to have a twin that doesn't develope and just disappears. One of my OB's lost a twin. I know it's sad, but you are blessed! Good luck!

It isn't unheard of for only one twin to actually survive until birth. However, it is also not uncommon for paternal twins to develop differently. You may just have to wait until you get the results of your next u/s.
