how many c-sections are safe?

my doctor told me that after 3 c sections its very risky. i am wondering why that is and if anyone else has heard that you can only have 3.

3 is just the general rule of thumb, but varies from woman to woman... it all depends on the scar tissue and how the previous c-sections healed.
The biggest risk is uterine rupture at previous incision sites

Possibly have2 have my 2nd c-section and they are saying this one is even 2 risky for me. But they also say, that after a c-section baby, a normal delivery is pretty risky, what can ya do huh!?

I was speaking to my dr about this a couple of days ago. He told me that after 3 the scarring inside can get quite thick, making it harder to get through to the baby and also the scar on the outside can become quite thin. His wife had only recently had her 4th c-section and had a very thin scar apparently and had to be closely monitored to ensure it stayed strong with all the stretching during her pregnancy.
