I had a c-section with my first son.Now I'm due with my 2nd son on his 2nd birthday Sept 4th, Their father has left me, so now I have to do it all alone. I'm so scared of the recovery alone and how will I care for my older child with no help after another c-section? My doctor says to do the c-section, they don't do HVAC any more. Plus I have a tear in my rectum that will get worse with pushing as well. I just can't imagine going through the 6 weeks of recovery alone with a 2 year old and newborn from a c-section. Please help!!!

I thing you mean VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section)? Do you have family that can visit with you? I had my dad, mom, and mother-in-law, all come and stay for a week each. After 4 weeks, I cheated and lifted my 12month old just to get in/out of the crib. I sent out an invite to stay at Casa Brown and set it up for reservations to stay. I even included pics of their guest suite. I have friends that are visiting this summer to boot. Be creative. I scooted on my butt down the steps with my 12mo. on my lap and the newborn in my arms. Can you stay all on one floor? Have a mini fridge and stay upstairs? At 2, your little one will learn that mommy can't lift, but you can always have them climb up to you on the bed/couch, etc. I wouldn't want the tear in the rectum to get worse. I shared a room once with a woman that had totally torn the section between rectum and va-j-j and pooped out of their cooter. Not cool. Sometimes the doc suggests c-section for a good reason. The rectum situation would convert me to double c-section. I had no choice as I had 2 c-sections in less than a year! Apparently, stomach heals and all, but the uterus takes about 9 months to heal completely, so I couldn't do VBAC in order to avoid a uterine rupture. You could try to find another doctor willing to do the VBAC. Good luck! Let us know what happens...

I'm sorry its vbac silly me. Anyways, the Dr pushed me into a c-section for no medical reason. They said I'm small baby is big its your best bet. I never went into labor. I regret it now. I handled the c-section well but I had help with my 1st. Their dad left & I don't have anyone that can come stay with me. That's why I want to do this so much. I have talked to women that did vbac & it worked out great. I'm just wondering if there is any on here that have went thru this as well. A c-section is more convenient for the Dr bc they schedule it and are out to play golf in an hour after. It's not fair that they don't care as much about the patient plus they make more money off of it too. It's frustrating.

How did you handle your first c section??? and also do you have any family around that might be able to help? I would suggest if you have family members around asking them to help especially if you handled your first csection well ..I thought that they still did HVAC?? I havent heard about them quitting ..I hope that helped a little...I know when I get pregnant again I wanna try natural...but if its better for me and my child Ill do a c section again...Good luck and keep us updated :) If you need to talk Im here
