I bought a fetal Doppler and started using it yesterday. I heard a heartbeat at 125 but someone told me that that was me not my baby. So I used it again today and still nothing. I didnt want to press on my tummy a little hard cuz i didnt feel comfortable to do that. I shouldn't be freaking out because I'm thinking its to early to tell for me but I can't help but freak out. What am I doing wrong? And is anyone experiencing or have experience anything like this before? Please no rude comments. Thank you

Usually with the fetal dopplers that you buy you won't be able to hear the baby's heartbeat until later in pregnancy. They are not as sensitive as the ones doctors use. Even doctors can have a heard time finding the heartbeat at 13 weeks. I would say until you are about 25 to 30 weeks or so you won't be able to pick the heartbeat up on your doppler.

After a quick Google search, the general answer is that you generally won't be able to find the heartbeat until the beginning of the 3rd trimester. The home ones are WAY less sensitive than the ones used at the doctor's office.
Generally, baby's heartbeat should be 140+, so 125 is either you, or a bad (and SUPER lucky) catch at baby's heartbeat. Many women can never find the heartbeat on their home monitors at all, even right up to the day before they give birth :P
