Is there a valid reason why he isn't going?

Because with my 7yo's father, I went through the same problem. He wouldn't come to any of the appointments, never kept his word, and when it came time deliver, I didn't tell him. I never regretted not having him there, because by then, all he did was stress me out.

But it's your decision. Just...don't get your hopes up on a guy like that actually being the man he needs to be to support you during the birth of your child.

It is a personal choice as to who you have int he room when you have your baby. My partner came to myultrasound appointmnets nad first hospital appointmnet but that was it. I was fine with this as he was working. When it came to labour he was the only person i wanted with me. With his help and strength, either him sitting in a chair not saying a waord as i dont want his help at that time or him holding me up and telling me to breathe while rubbing my back we can achieve anything. My midwife told me when ihad my son that i didn't need any help b esides my partner as he was calma nd collected nad just reminded me to breath. So all this adds up to us having one more bub and this time he hasnt come any appointmnets as he works out of town and is gone for 12 hours a day. But he is the one and only person who will be there when we have bub. It is up to you, think long and hard about it and you willmake the right choice. Good luck.
