Is Decaf coffee okay to drink?

I'm about four months pregnant and with my first pregnancy i cut out coffee completely. But before i was pregnant with my second i fell in love with the taste of it all over again and had a cup at least everyday. I wouldn't say i was addicted to the caffeine, i just loved the taste and smell of it in the morning, it always put me in a happy mood. Since becoming pregnant with my second i have been dying everyday for a cup and while i still wont drink the caffeinated i was wondering if the decaf is okay???

Brittany is right. Caffeine consumption should be limited but is still ok. You don't have to cut it out completely. Most people don't realize that things like tea and chocolate have caffeine in them too. The idea is to limit how much you consume. There are several studies on how much caffeine is ok. I would read up on some of them and to be safe I would go with whatever the lower recommendation is. There are several medical articles that are available to read on it.

Yes decaf is fine, also my DR told me one cup of caffeinated was OK too. I had a cup of coffee everyday of my pregnancy.
