The most risk would just be the fumes just do it in a well ventilated area and just a tip its not the risk to the baby its a risk to ur hair a lot of times hair doesn't turn out the way its supposed to when ur pregnant because of all the chemicals in ur body being all outta wack and crazy my moms a hair dresser and she did highlights in my hair while I was pregnant but told me I couldn't get mad if they came out funky colored haha they turned out fine though.

coloring your hair doesn't effect your baby.. im in cosmetology, although your hair will become thicker. the hair color soaks into the cortex of your hair which is of couse dead... the hair color doesnt effect anything but your hair unless it was digested (which i dont reccomend doing) ... you will be fine, have fun:)

When I was pregnant, I went throught the same thing. Finally I asked mydoctor, and she said that getting it done at a salon is a better way to go, they usually have less chenimcals, are better ventilated, and the smell is less strong, which is what is the worse part of hair dye.

If you are hearing both ways, ask your doctor or call their on call nurse.
It can depend on the brand and type of chemicals.

It is advised to avoid contact with the scalp, which is why highlights are ok. Your call really.

I'm quite sure thats a rumor, make sure you do it in a well ventilated room and I'm quite sure you and baby will be fine :)
