Hi, I have a set of b/g twins that will be three in June and a son that will be one in July. I am currently on the IUD, but my husband and I are afraid I might have a tubal pregnancy. We have not been able to confirm this yet as I have been unable to get a hold of my dr. I've been experiencing severe pain in the left side of my uterus/ fallopian tubes, and as well as some pressure. I also haven't gotten my period this month. Is it possible to allow a tubal baby to live, or must it be terminated for the mother's saftey?

In almost every case a ectopic pregnancy would have to be terminated because once the baby gets big enough for the tube to burst the mother can die from it :( or cause other serious complications. I have heard of a few that went missed and the mother survived, but because the placenta wasn't where it was suppose to be the child did not receive proper nurishment and had neurological problems. Aicha may be right though about the cyst. I had a pretty big one on my left ovarie and the pain was awful. I still have pain from the scar tissue it left. I would visit an ER as soon as possible if you don't get a hold of your doctor soon. Best wishes

I would go to the er and have it checked out it could be a tubal or you could have a cyst on your ovary it will cause pain , I had a cyst on my ovary along with uterine pain early in this pregnancy and went to er they had me on bed rest and pain medications but now everything is going well I am now 37 weeks waiting for baby to be born

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do but make sure it is indeed a tubal pregnancy before terminating. Unfortunatly I have read that errors have been made in the past. :( I would also suggest you go to the emergency room if you don't get in touch with your doctor. My friend had one and she waited and almost died. Not trying to bring up all the worst case scenerios, sorry.
