Restraining Order ..

I am 10 weeks 3 days pregnant. Ever since I found out I was pregnant it's been an on going battle with the babies father. He would go from telling me to Abort, demanding at paternity test because the baby isn't his or telling me that he loves me and wants to be together.

He is so wishy-washy with his actions, it's beyond ridiculous. There have been physical altercations prior to this, but he is constantly verbally assaulting me, mentally and emotionally. It has gotten to the point where he is threatening me. I'm tired of stressing and hurting my unborn child.

Today I decided to get a restraining order and have him served with harassment and communicating threats. I know I did the right thing for the sake of my child and I, I'm just worried he is going to end up breaking the restraining order and seriously hurting me. He has a past history of violence. He is in court ordered anger management classes. We have court August 3rd and August 20th. I'm not sure if I have enough evidence to have this restraining order put into full effect. I'm shaking right now.

He comes from money so I know when he is arrested tonight when he goes home, he will be right back out without an issues. It's pathetic, but so true. He thinks just because he comes from money he can do and say whatever he pleases. He can buy his way out of anything.

I need some advice, support, something. Did I do the right thing? Did I open a can of problems for the future? I'm just skeptical. I don't want him to harm me!

I'm worried for you if he thinks he is entitled to anything then what will stop him or his family from trying to take the baby from you? Are you able to move away, and atleast there is now evidence that you were scared for youself and your unborn baby. I know it's not helpfull but i have not been in you situation and cant give advice on things i know nothing about. I really hope for the best for you and your baby.
