I gained 90lbs with my daughter cause of medical problems underweigh too. I am so scared I will end up gaining every more. I am at a healthy weight and no medical problems at all, but still worry. How much weight did everyone gain during pregnancy? I am only freaking a bit cause I am 10 weeks and 4 days and I am showing. I know you show the second time sooner, but by the time I have this baby I am worried I am going to be 100lbs heavier instead of 90lbs.

with my first child i gained 60 pounds, my second child i gained 12 pounds and with my 3rd i also gained 12 pounds. i'm pregnant with my 4th and plan to keep my weight under 120. stay active, and if your hungry all the time like me :P have a glass of water or milk first before your meal or snack. and keep your snacks lean and fresh. i'm terrified of gaining weight too :/ i know how you feel

It's normal to show earlier with a second child, it has nothing to do with weight if you are 'showing'. Example: my first child was born 9lbs 9oz, I gained about 35 lbs, I showed around 16 weeks. My second child (pregnant 4 months later) was born 7lbs 13 oz, I really showed around 25 weeks. I gained 5 more lbs. THis time I am 16 weeks and have been showing since about 8 weeks and have not gained any weight (i usually gain about 10 lbs at this point). It all depends on the pregnancy, the mother's health, the sex of the baby and implantation can play a role in your 'showing'.....

Basically, try not to worry. They say second babies usually have more pregnancy weight because the mother has a little one and eats more unhealthy foods (whatever her kid is eating, and not at the proper intervals). Keep being healthy and don't focus on a number, focus on what and when you eat. Forget the scale. That doesn't determine your health. If you know you're eating a well balanced diet, ignore the scale.
