Hi ladies,

I am actually 10 days overdue with my second bub and have all of a sudden come out in lots of very dark stretchmarks on my tummy :( very upsetting for me.. i know i shouldn't be, but i am.

i have googled lots of things and i know there is a lot on the market, but i dont want to pay for something that doesn't work.

has anyone had any experience getting rid of them with success?

Stretchmarks once appearing are there for life! They will come out in red angry marks but over time they will fade. It can take 12 months or so for them to fade but they turn a silverish/skin tone and are less noticeable. I have used bio oil and also cocos butter, oil for stretchmarks. (can't remember the name but i got it from the supermarket for $15) and both have worked just as good for my last 2 pregnancies. Good luck.

When I was pregos with my now 19month old daughter I didnt get stretch marks till I was 8 months along. And they got so bad really quickly. I mean they were like zebra marks LOL and got really red which they say is some of the hardest ones to get rid of. So anywho I started trying everything I could find and wasted a lot of money doing it. I was desprete what can I say. However I found Bio Oil... it is slightly more expensive in Pennslyvania I bought it for 30 a bottle I believe. However my once red marks are now almost a sliverish to a clear. It is the only thing that made the redness and darkness go away. The stretch marks themselves have also gotten slightly small er but they will never go completely away. I look at them as badges of mommy hood now.

For my first pregnancy I woke up one morning full of stretch marks! Through my whole pregnancy I had used an expensive stretch mark cream....hahaha stupid me! It never second pregnancy I used palmers cocoa butter just to moisturize my skin, I had no delusions that my marks we're going away. My 2nd and 3rd pregnancies made my existing marks grow longer.

They fade, even without cream, but the stretched part is always there.

Mine are still there from my 2 year old you try to use the stretch mark stuff bio oil and all that early on int pregnancy. They have to fade away basically.

Bio-Oil! I used it all through my pregnancy - I was huge and zero stretchmarks. Even if you just start now I have heard others say that it really does help make them less noticeable. And it's not expensive. Good luck!
