So I went in for my u/s today, and I was suppose to be 19 weeks according to how I'm measuring in my tummy, but the u/s tech said every part of the baby is measuring around 17 weeks. :-/ I had a follow up with my doctor immediately after the u/s and she said she was still measuring at 19 weeks? I'm wondering if anyone else has been through this? Could baby just be small for her 'age' or why are the measurement different? :) Any help/adivce would be nice, thanks!

My baby was small throughout pregnancy, but then towards the end she went down on the size scale so I was booked in for a scan. I eventually saw a consultant who said she was fine just a small package so try not to let them panic you

oh no that doesnt help then :(
Ah well maybe it'll get clearer as you get further along and get more symptoms. you might be able to guess...
Either way dates aren't a guarantee and you can have bub usually 2 weeks either side of due date so its kind of the same.
I wouls go with the ultrasound date rather than the measurement as its generally more accurate. Most women dont measure spot on and can be small or bigger for their dates.it can depend on lots of things. My ultrasound was spot on with my first pregnancy, i had him 5 days before EDD. This one i didnt know dates either and ultrasound says due 17/9/10. And all my symptoms etc and follow up ultrasounds show the same.
I know that doesnt really tell you alot but hope it helps :)

I'm thinking it was in the beggining to second week of Feb or the beggining of March. I always got my period around the 20th, I tend to have a very light period and it usually only lasts 3 to 4 days at the longest. The hard part is I really don't remember if I got my period in Feb. or if I missed it and didn't realize until March. Feb was a busy month for me. Ugh...frustrating. I just want to know when to expect my baby :(

is there any way you can back track to work out your conception date by dates that you "did it" and your last normal period? this might give you a more accurate time and see which is closer - u/s or uterus measurement.

If your baby has a healthy heartbeat then there is nothing to worry about. Babies grow at different rates in the womb and out of the womb. First Trimester ultrasounds are much more accurate at dating a pregnancy, however once your in the second trimester they can be off by a lot more.

If your measuring small they might keep a closer eye on you when you get towards the end, however they probably want to get you going before labor starts so they might not actually push off the c-section date.

I'm not worried, just curious as to when I should expect the baby, simply because I'm delivering c-section. When she measured small did they change your due date?

My daughter measured small at my u/s as well ... she came early and was "short" but wasn't small by any means! lol ... now she's 8 and average and beautiful! I wouldn't worry unless the doctor tells you to.
