There is hope.
Pure african shea butter after a hot shower mixed with bio oil and the oil from pamers for stretch marks. Put chunks of the shea butter in a squirt tube with some of the oils about half full. Then you can melt it with hot water in your shower , i sit my bottle at the bottom of the shower so the butter melts in with the oil. When I get out I shake it a bit and put it on and message it in. My marks are half gone and some are gone.

I think cocoa butter and bio oil just help with the prevention of stretch marks because they are good lubricants that help the skin stretch easily. As far as the ones that are already there, I've heard really good things about a cream from skinagain.

After my first my stretch marks were pretty bad... I would use bio oil to reduce the appearance for a short while not long term,,, eventually the marks faded as other ladies have said. With my second nothing helped and now with my 3rd yikes! I just hope with enough time they fade enough for me to not look like a weird abstract art work!

Use Bio oil it helped fade mine too, im sooo big im 36 weeks and have horrible strech marks i use bio oil 3 times a day and all my strech marks are super faded already. i keep getting new ones but the bio oil keeps them light and thats whats important also try pure vitiman e oil with the highest i.u. you can get it works wounders but make sure you can just run around in a swim suit while you wear it cause it will ruin your clothes :)

I love my stretch marks but glad to hear there is something out there than can help! I'm going to look into getting Bio Oil or Mederma's solution to stretch marks! As much I love them...they are ALL over and I kind of don't want to hide my stomach forever!

stretch marks are internal and show on the outside. they dont EVER go away, they just fade. cocoa butter doesn't help keep them gone..so theres no point in trying. i used cocoa butter from day one, and i didnt get any stretch marks until i was about 33 weeks. now, im 36 1/2 and the stretch marks have greatly increased on my stomach. the other girls are right, look at the stretch marks with honor. in time, they'll fade away

well unfort all these ladies are correct LOL nothing but time will help stretch marks go away after the baby is born. ive heard a lot of great things about bio oil after and tanning helps them fade and blend into your body. most the time they will shrink or become silverish in color. but now is the time of looking at them as badages of honor. i was so excited when i was 32 wks i hadnt had one mark than i slowly started getting them and than one morning i woke up and they were just there LOL i used lotion 3 times a day and took all my pills but it didnt help. sorry to give you the crappy news LOL

I was told that cocoa butter doesnt work, and is just a waste of time and money... Also, I do know that Vitamin-E is sold in lil capsules that are supposed to be taken orally, but if you break them in half and use it on the stretchmarks, it does help them fade enough to match your skin... I was also in a maternity store and the lady there informed me that Mederma, the cream that fades scars, came up with a solution for stretch marks... but that is supposed to be used after birth... I know from experience that Mederma is GREAT... I have a scar that USED to extend from 3in above my right knee to about 3in above my ankle... and tho it hasnt faded completely yet, it is WELL on its way... It was opened up for 4 surgeries, and looks BETTER than I could ever imagine it... So, I plan on doing the Mederma for sstretchmarks when baby comes... :)

I was told olive oil would help prevent them...I think it has a lot of Vitamin E as well...I'm just trying to keep my skin well moisturized, because I was told that well hydrated skin stretches more easily. I got them with my son, but they weren't large and there wasn't too many either. They have long since turned silver and you really can't see them too much. I've gotten a very few new ones so far, and they're small too. However, I still have 2 1/2 months to go, so we'll see.

I started the Cocoa Butter, and when I say Cocoa Butter I mean the kind you have to melt each and every time, because my sister used it and if you could have seen my mom it looked like a Tiger ripped her open from her chest to her pelvic region. My sister however ended up with absolutely no stretch marks. I have heard about the hereditary thing but I was convinced by my sister that it was possible to help my chances of not getting them. so I have heated up the Cocoa Butter every night and smeared it on my belly and I am 30 weeks, so far so good and I only say that while I knock on wood :). I think I will have enough to remind me that I am a mom without the stretch marks like how the rest of my body will be altered indefinitely :). I also use Vitamin E oil every time my belly starts itching during the day because I can't put the Cocoa Butter on at a moments notice I need at least 15 minutes and then time for it to absorb as well. Also you can put the Cocoa Butter on if you scrape it out of the jar, I use a popsicle stick and then you put the solid on your belly and then rub until it turns to liquid... Good Luck! I tried Bio Oil but I kept getting a rash so I discontinued using that but I hear over and over that people do like it too. I don't know about anyone else but if you already have them the Stevictin??? stuff that they encourage to use for wrinkles was originally developed for stretch marks as well but that stuff is very spendy. I think depending on how I end up looking I will talk to a dermatologist about options as well they always have better stuff than we can buy over the counter.

With cocoa butter u are supposed to start basically as soon as u get pregnant to prevent the stretch marks from coming up, but I would try putting it on maybe 2 or 3 times a day. Also, I have a scar on my belly so I have been using Bio Oil, this helps reduce the appearance of scars, stretch marks etc. This has been working for me, maybe try something like that.

There is nothing you can really do for stretch marks. I used everything i could find, from the week i found out i was pregnant, untill after the birth. They have faded over time, but are still there. The sun helps them fade, they do become silvery lines. They Doctor told me it was just my skin.
Keep up with the creams tho, at least your skin will be soft.
Good Luck

give it a couple of months after the baby is born and they will naturally fade to a silver colour that you will hardly see

Sorry to break the news to you... But, Cocoa Butter doesn't make stretch marks better. Nothing makes stretch marks better, except time. Stretch marks are hereditary... So, if your mother had them on her chest or belly when she was pregnant, you're more than likely going to have them on your chest and belly. Give it some time, those stretch marks will go away. As of right now, there's nothing you can do.
