I had mine at 33 weeks, it was a really good time because I wasn't too soon along that I had to wait forever and it also gave me time to set things up and buy things we didn't have!

Antionette I make a "cake" with baby items rolled into a shape of a cake. I'm not sure if that is what Miki is talking about. I've made two of them and have had great success with them.

I had mine August 16, 2009 and my daughter was born September 7, 2009. My aunt was supposed to help with the diaper cake(best thing ever) and she was out of town but was here for the shower. I had a co-ed baby shower.

I had a shower with my first when I was about 6 months along (was going to do 8 months but my SIL who was helping throw it had to be in Ireland for my 7th and 8th month.

And with this baby, I wasn't going to have a shower, but my best friend didn't know me when I was having my first, and she's an event planner and wanted to throw me a shower so badly, so she's throwing a "meet-the-baby shower" a week or two after I have my daughter.

I had my first one when I was 26 weeks pregnant because I was having pre-term labor episodes, so everyone thought my daughter was coming early. Well, I'm still pregnant and I'm having my next shower this weekend at 37 weeks! =)

If I could choose, I would have had it around 34 weeks.
I'm almost 37 weeks and I still haven't had one.. I think it's great on the one side the someone is planning one for me, but I have no idea when and where it'll be... but on my outlook, this is REALLY cutting it close and I like to be prepared as much as possible.
I think it's too stressful to have anything later than 35 weeks, lol

i haven't had a shower yet but there are 3 planned... i'm 33 weeks pregnant, and the ladies at work are throwing a small one for me on the 25th of this month, and then my MIL is throwing one for his HUGE family (160 ppl coming, including my fiance) on the 15th of august, i'm due on the 26th, and then my mom is planning one for after the baby is born since we chose not to learn the sex of the baby, and she wants either a pink or blue party, i am a lil worried about missing the one for his family bcuz it is so close to my due date but if i can't be there then he will have to go by himself

7 months was good for me, I wasn't too big and I wasn't too hot, especially if you are throwing it outside. Just remember you want to do it soon enough to where you can enjoy it yourself. If you do it in the 8th/9th month, you have the chance of missing your shower.
