Hello, Tonight is my first night on here. Just wondered if anyone had a baby on Leap Day like myself and if you did when you plan on celebrating their birthday.

Thanks,

Erica :)

Hi
I havea a little boy Thomas who was born 29th feb last year we have been debating on when to celebrate and have now decided it ll be the 1st March as if it wasnt a leap year thats when he would of been born! the 28th of feb falls on a sat this year so his party is then but we will be celebrating at home on the 1st March too! i think it didnt really sink in that he was a leap year baby till this year when i thought about his birthday but i think it makes him unique xxx

Hello!  I'm new here too and my daughter Roxie was born on Leap Day.  This year is lucky since the 28th is a Saturday and the 1st is a Sunday, so we thought we'd have two parties, one for each side of the family.  But for the future, we figure we'll celebrate it on the 28th and when she gets old enough, she can pick it.

What is everyone's Leap Day baby's name? And what time were they born?

My daughter Carys was born at 4:27 PM. :) Oh, and we'll celebrate on the 28th as well!

That's funny Erica, because my son will be 5 in June. Granted, I was a few months off from having him on leap day.

Add us to the list! :o)  We plan on celebrating his birthday on the 28th too.  And I suppose every four years, we'll have to have a big party!

I figured as my daughter gets older she will probably want to celebrate it on the 28th instead of the 1st because its one day sooner and the anticipation of waiting an extra day will kill her. :) People keep telling me that legally you have to celebrate it on the 1st but I have personally never "legally" celebrated a birthday. Whats so funny is that my son will be 5 this March and when I was pregnant with him it was also a Leap year. I remember not wanting to have him on Leap Day so I stayed in bed all day. He ended up being born on March 14th. And 4 years later I have a Leap Day baby anyway. :)

My daughter was born on Leap Day. We figure, since she was born on the last day of February, we will always celebrate her birthday on the last day of February. What are you guys doing?
