MY Lola is... She has trouble holding it up enough to drink it herself but she drinks from it when I hold it. She tries really hard on her own... BTW she is 71/2 months.

My son has the sippy with the handles, and does really well. He also has a cup with a straw, that has a soft rubber straw on the top to drink from, and he did that before the sippy. It still has a no-spill feature in the straw too.

I started my son on the bottles with handles so that he could get used to holding his own cup, and he actually loves it! I have switched him over to sippy cups when I give him anything besides formula.

my lil girl was born feb 3...she started with the sippy cup as soon as she started to sit up on her own...she has been doing it then for a couple months...walmart sells a nuk sippy cup with a soft tip that they can suck on just like a bottle...thats the best way to get them started...it is a no leak cup so until they figure out how to hold it upright...it is good that it doesnt just spill out when they have the cup upside down etc...she was always tryin to drink from the cup we use to rinse her hair in the bath tub so i knew it was time...also...a good way to get them started is to just let them play with an empty sippy cup..to get use to holding it etc...good luck..and have fun..

My daughter is 7 1/2 months and has been drinking out of the sippy for about a month or so now. She loves her sippy. :)

Saraya is 7months and three weeks old and has been drinking from a sippy cup for around 5 weeks. At first i had to hold it but now she does it herself, it's great for their gross motor skills.

My son is 7 months and he is ok with a sippy cup but not the ones with a valve in them. He has not figured out how to suck them. I did get ones made by Nuby. They have a sippy cup lid but the lid part is made out like a nipple. This will help get them used to holding the sippy cup. Try it out its working for my little guy and it worked my sister.

My son loves his sippy. He also loves drinking out of my cup, but cannot steadily hold it just yet. He just turned 7 months on the 24th. :)
