Moms, did your baby start all of a sudden being a bad sleeper around 6 months? Mine did to, he would not want to go to sleep until 2 or so and then he would wake up every 2 hours to nurse.... So after weeks and weeks of trial and error with nothing working, I was talking to my sister (she has 3 kids of her own) and we figured out that around the time we started having these problems was after we started solids.

So we thought maybe they where upsetting his tummy, well after 2 days of no baby food he had big nasty smelly poops all day, and that night he slept a little over 6 hours straight!! So I just thought if you are in the same spot I was you might try it for a couple days and see if it helps, i would have never thought of that if it wernt for my sister so I thought I would pass it on. And studies have proven that up to a year in age all babies really NEED is breast milk, so if you hold off on solids for awhile it won't hurt anything :-)

I wish that were the case for us :( Loghyn was sleeping thru the night from 2mths to 6mths and then suddenly started getting up all night long since then. But she barely ever gets solids, maybe once a day or once every other few days now. She is breastfed and healthy even without the food. She's teething though so that could be our problem.
glad it helped you!

I never thought solids would effect sleep. My daughter is having a hard time sleeping too. She wont go to bed and then she wakes up 2 or 3 times a night. I even tried sleep trainning her but she would cry so hard that her heart was racing and when she finally went to sleep she was literaly sitting up so when we would straighten her out she would wake up and start crying again. Taking her off baby food for a few days sounds alot better.
