Need help with a crying baby!!

My daughter will be 7 months tomorrow. I had to return to work after 6 weeks. She started with her normal babysitter at this time, however after only a few shorts months needed to stop watching her. My daughter spent the summer at my home with my best friend, who was at her beck and call. She is now back with the orignal babysitter and has been for 2 weeks. The daily reports from the babysitter are that she cries all day to be held, which of course is impossible for her to do. At home with me she seems to be fine, athough she still cries to be held, and I do give in. I am working on not responding to those tears and have made great strides. She can be left alone when at home and cries a lot less to be held. I have even gone so far as to sit right next to her during one of these fits and let her cry it out only picking her up once the water works stop. I however am sick to death about how to help her cope when she is not with me. I don't feel that trying to find a new caregiver will help as I don't think the babysitter is the problem. Can anyone help????

I honestly don't know. you can tell the babysitter to, instead of picking her up, just do exactly what you do, and she'll get used to her again and it'll work out. babies need time, some more than others, don't give up!!
