Cost and Time

I want to get my body back!!!! Money and time is an issue any ideas????

I suggest investing in a couple of things to work out with in your own home. You can do a complete workout with some free weights and a stability ball. That way you have the convenience and privacy of being at home and it is alot cheaper than joining a gym or (speaking as a personal trainer) hiring a personal trainer.

I am in the same boat -- I NEED to work out (for my sanity and for my health), but don't have much time or money!

Running is the most efficient use of time and produces the best results for me. The main expense is a good pair of shoes, which are really important. If I go early enough in the morning, I can run while my hubby watches our baby boy. Otherwise, we have a running stroller, so I run with baby.

Walking (especially including some hills and/or stairs) is always great -- and easy to do with baby. Add a few push-ups, dips and sit-ups for a more complete workout.

When I can't get out of the house, I have a couple of DVDs. One of them is especially good -- It's called "Lindsay Brim's Boot Camp 2" -- it has several different combinations of workouts, and all exercises are meant for moms. I really like the ab exercises.

Just recently, I have started doing the CrossFit workouts (see All of them take less than 30 minutes, but they are REALLY intense. The only drawback is that many of them require equipment, which require a gym membership or some big purchases... That being said, you can look up past workouts if you don't have the equipment or don't like the WOD (workout of the day).
