i've tried the gym diet pills everything you can think of i've tried.. any one have suggestions.. i want to have another baby but i wan tto get down some before i do that so i wont be bigger then my first.

Ps- Cleanses are really only good if supervised by a Doctor... you can actually harm your body taking out too many toxins and nutrients. FYI. Plus, like Jennifer said, they don't teach you about maintianing a healthy lifestyle. they really only put a bandaid on your problem!

Diet pills and diets DO NOT WORK! There's a reason... they will help you to lose your water weight and even burn through some muscle, so you'll "lose weight" and feel really good about yourself, but then it stops so you give up.

Losing weight is all about lifestyle changes. Simple things like stop drinking soda OR limit yourself to one diet soda a day can decrease your calorie intake by 1,000 per week. Eating with a smaller plate is also helpful... you HAVE to eat less with a smaller plate. I try to eat what my 4 year old eats... maybe a little more, but similar portions.

Another important key is building muslce. Muscle burns fat more than anything else. Weight/resistence training every other day is key. If you can't afford a gym, there are some really good at-home programs you can try... Biggest Loser Power Sculpt, Turbo Sculpt and ChaLean Extreme are all good options. It's also good to get cardio 3-5x per week as well... a 1-5 mile walk/jog/run, aerobics, elliptical, swimming, etc.

Finally, eating balances meals are key. Having a protien with a carb (light string cheese with triscuits or wheat thins) helps to digest your food more efficiently. Don't eat past 7 or 8 pm so your body has time to metabolize everything it's consumed. Drink plenty of water AND be sure to get enough sleep (7-8hours).

As a fitness instructor I have heard of all the diets/quick weight-loss ideas you can name. I will be completely honest toxins could be what is keeping the weight on. Do your research and find what I have found. Everyone needs to detox!!! The sad fact is most of the detoxes that are on the market, well lets say they make you sick as they are working resulting in negative side affects. Does not sound fun to me. I detox, but I do so slowly.

I also will not workout without my Fat Conversion Bar. It gives me 2 hours of fat burning 15 minutes after I eat it. On top of that it taste good!!!

Also I have found better results working out less gives me better result. I only workout 2 days a week and am in the best shape of my life.

Find good Vitamins, fiber, meal replacement bars and shakes(makes busy life easier), protein and drink lots of water.

Ok I think I can help...I'm a certified weight trainer and sports nutritionist, just to let you know! Its a mixture of so much more than you probably know and it's alot more scientific as well. Best way I can explain it for people to understand is like this. Your body is alot like a car...you need the right balance of macro nutrients(proteins, carbs,and fats) in your body for it to function at the most efficient rate. Just like a car needs oil, transmission fluid, antifreeze, gas and so on...That plus some exercise does the trick. If you need further help I will need some info so I can can give you your "recipe" for success. What I will need from you is your height, current weight, and age. And a basic run through of what a typical day is like for you with what you eat. Just to give me an idea of what you might be doing wrong or maybe I can give you some better options to keep your diet the same with a few minor adjustments. I find that my clients stick to their healthy lifestyle when i make the style fit them, not vice versa.

I can totally relate to your predicament, I have a 2yr old. But i had to be honest with myself about why I couldn't shed my weight. I realised, I lacked the discipline to stick with anything. I needed to find a way to commit myself to something I couldn't give up on easily and that could inspire me. So I decided to join the Teams in Traning for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society which train you in various endurance sports. So not only will I achieve a healthier and fit me but I'd be contributing to a fantastic cause. Sometimes we just have to be honest with ourselves and take the steps we know will help us reach these goals 'cause in the end it will ALL BE WORTH IT!! Good luck on your journey!

I know it sounds really strange, but try switching up your diet completely. I used to have to diet and exercise all the time just to maintain a decent figure (I ate less then 1,000 calories a day). When I was pregnant, I forced myself to eat healthy and had to exercise less to be safe for the baby (I used to have 2 hour work-outs). I gained 23 lbs with my son and 45 with my daughter- I was 185 lbs by the end! I have been up and down over the last 4 years, but in the last year, I changed to eating everything my kids eat, and I feel great at 120 lbs. I eat and drink things I never would've dreamed off; mostly I eat proteins now, instead of carbs. Hope it helps... Good Luck!

P.S. Breastfeeding is a great way to lose as well (with the added bonuses of saving money, never cleaning bottles and always having supply on-hand).

I too am having a hard time getting rid of the baby weight. My daughter just turned 4 and I am having a hard time. I have lost15 pounds just by watching what I eat and walking. I love www.mapmyrun.com it is a great site. I can put in what I walk and it shows me how many calories I have burned. I do count my calories, because I found that I was eating a lot of empty calories and I wasn't burning them off. This has helped me, I hope it helps you. I'm with you girl, my daughter is almost 5. We also had another one in Feb 2008. Weight Watchers and running have been a big success for me. I never thought I would be able to run again, this winter I told myself I was going to run a mile and I did it. I can't run to far/long, but I burn a lot more calories. I also do The Firm step aerobics vidoes, they are awesome! I still have 26lbs to lose to goal (1/2 done-lost 22lbs), but I'm hopeful :). I weigh less now then what I did before I had my first daughter. Good Luck Heather!

And don't do the Isagenix shakes recommended to you. They are similar to Herbalife from what I've read--these shakes don't teach you anything about incorporating a healthier lifestyle and eating better... Plus they get boring after a while. If you're anything like me... I like to eat food. :)

Have you heard of Isagenix? It is a nutrtional cleansing line that can help cleanse out the toxins in your body and flood it with all organic nutrients and minerals.

I love the chocolate Isalean shakes. It is great because I am still nursing and don't have much time to cook or put together a meal. So the shakes are a great meal full of all nutrients and vitamins.

Isagenix also has a 9 day and 30 day mild cleanse. I have about 10 friends who have personally done the cleanse and have lost an average of 9 pounds. You can NOT do the cleanse if you are nursing or pregnant as toxins might pass through the placenta or breast milk. But it it safe to use all the other products of isagenix.

I have been only using the shakes and vitamins and have lost all the pregnancy weight with out having to work out at a gym. What is the issue? Too much fattening, fried, sugary foods? Do you overeat when you eat? Do you eat all day long? Do you eat mindlessly? How much weight do you want to lose? You said you tried the gym, does that mean you no longer workout? I think I can make some suggestions but need more details!
