I'm just curious when most find the time to get in their workout and what they are doing?

My gym has a parent and tot work out room. So you can workout and watch your children at the same time.
I also have a jogger which has come in quite handy...and I can use it until my son is 100lbs...so that is quite awhile.

My kids are all older, married or in school. I am a stay at home mom to a disabled 22 year old son. I really don't have a problem finding time to work out. I usually go to the gym right after I take my youngest (16 years) to school. I do a Stronglift 5x5 routine. That involves squats, bench press, overhead press, deadlifts, inverted rows, chinups/pullups, pushups, reverse crunches and prone bridge. There are 5 exercises in two workouts done 3 xs a week. Post workout I do about 45 mins. of cardio. That varies depending on my mood.

I've been working out for about 6 years. I've lost a little over 120#s. I'm working to remove about 20#s I regained earlier this year. I initially began going to the gym to remove the weight, but found it SUCH a help in stress relief there are days I know I'm working out to relieve the stess as much as to become healthy.

My aspirations are to become a Personal Trainer and then become certified to work with Special Populations. I have the one son that has emotional/mental disablities and my 16 year old has High Functioning Autism.

I've learned a great deal as far as getting healthy and removing my weight. I had to learn to use different words and make goals that are more inclusive, for example, my main goal is become healthy. Someone must eat healthy and exercise, make changes in every aspect of their lives to attain that goal. It's a lifesyle change that works!

I applaud each one of you for making that time for yourselves! I've been told by a personal trainer of mine tht the P90X is an EXCELLANT workout. I look at it on line and am contemplating buying it.

I'm working with my husband who is going to have gastric surgery soon. His goal is to loose about 200#s. I'm thinking of getting the P90X for him later on. That way we can do it together.

Keep up the GREAT work!!

Hi I am new to circle of moms and have just started trying to excersize again after 3 kids ( littlest one is 7 months) I go to the gym occasionally but am trying to work out at home everyday for an hour....either morning when babe is napping and the other two watch tv or evening after bedtime...it's hard but once i hit the 20 min mark on my excersize bike then i'm good for 45 min and then i do abs for 15minutes. It's tough but i feel alot better when i am done.

Don't you love P90X? I'm on my 2nd round of it and it still kicks my butt! Mornings are the best time for me too! I can get it done and be ready for the day before the kids gets up.

Fun to find another X'er!!

I've got 2 girls, 2yrs and 6 yrs and work full time. I've recently decided that getting my figure back and being healthy is a huge priority for me.

I tried working out after the kids went to bed, but that only lasted about a month and a half... it was too difficult to motivate myself to get back out there and workout.

I've since started working out in the morning... I start at about 5/.5:30 and am done by 6:30... make breakfast and lunches, jump in the shower while my husband gets the girls dressed and ready. We're out the door by 730/745am.

I workout using the P90X workout videos which has kicked my butt and really got me into shape in 3 months... I've been working out for the last 5 months and have been really happy. This is working really well for me. I workout 4-6days per week depending on the week... workouts are min. 1hr sometime 1.5hrs. Great "me" time.

Good luck! :-)
