What type of results are you having? I am interested in getting this a present to myself for my 40th, but not sure if there are visible results on the scale and tape measure?

I LOVE wii fit!!! It is great because i am a stay at home mom and i have a hard time getting out of the house and i dont have a lot of space for equipment. If you have a wii i would definitly get it... it will save you a lot vs gym memberships!

We bought it for Christmas hoping it would get us motivated to work out, but I feel like it takes too long to exercise with it. My kids like it though! So I wouldn't recommend buying it just for working out.

Hi. I have the wii fit and I find it nice in some ways. I like that it calculates you BMI and all. But I do find it boring in way of working out. I did find a game for the wii called "My Fitness Coach" and I love it. It is actual workouts for cardio and strength training as well as yoga. I use it everyday and the more you workout the more that you open up. You have to measure body parts and all that, to see where your progress it going.
I like it better for working out. But the wii fit is fun.. :)

I personaly like it!  It helps you keep track of your weight, bmi, and helps you make goals.  You even get a little something said to you if you miss workouts!

I love my wii-fit, too. It is wonderful in regards to be able and workout at home without having to drive to a Gym, plus I added the MFC and the 'Outdoor Challenge' which both get your heart going, too.

I LOVE IT !! My parents got it for me for christmas. I do the free run while i watch tv it makes it alot more fun i like that it keeps track of how far you have run.You should do it barefoot the only thing i wear shoes for is the runnign cause your not on the board. I think its a great investment and its great for the kids my kids LOVE the running and the balance games it keeps them active instead of sitting playing a video game.

I haven't had any problems with it, it's nothing like the Step you do at the gym.  Step on Wii Fit doesn't have any of those hard impacts on the board, since that can damage the sensors inside it and the Wii board is lower than the ones you get at the gym so it's easier on your knees. I do Step as my first warm up before , follow up with Huula Hoops and sometimes jogging then I go over to strenght and finish off with Yoga. But try the first lv of Step a couple of times.

Good Luck.

Do you have to go barefoot with all the exercises on the Wii Fit? Isn't it bad for your joints and knees to do any kind of exercise with impact, like Step, barefoot? Just checking, because I do have it and use it for Yoga which I love, but have been hesitant to try the step. Every Step class I ever took we wore sneakers! Thanks for the input.

I've had  Wii Fit for over 2 months now, and I've been working out 4-6 days a week for 1 - 1 1/2 hour. I start with the  Advanced Step and Super Hula Hoop, then go over to strength and finish off with Yoga. I's hard for me to go to the gym, because of the jobs my husband has so it works perfect for me.

Like Valerie said it's easy to keep  tabs on your daily progress with easy-to-understand graphs and charts. Using your personal profile, you can set goals, view a graph of your BMI results over time.

Then there's your Wii Fit Age,  you'll do a basic balance test and find out your current Wii Fit Age. This basic balance test measures how well you can control your left and right balance. Based on the results, you'll be assigned a Wii Fit Age. I went from 18 years over my age to now 4 years younger on my Wii Fit Age....... LOL

I've lost one dress size so far and I'm really close to dropping one more size.

There are two more fitness games for Wii and the Wii Fit board:

My fitness coach and Jillian Michael’s Fitness Ultimatum 2009

Quoting Rebecca:

wii fit

Is the wii fit worth getting?

Hi Rebecca;

I just bought the wii fit last saturday and I love it! I don't have the time or coordination to go to a gym and the wii fit allows me to work out at home. It tracks my hours of activities and allows me to enter any additional exercises that I do other then on the wii. I find most of the exercises are pretty easy to follow.I find most of the exercises are fun to do. I like the feedback from the "Trainer". It calculates your BMI and weightloss each day as well so it keeps you motivated. I had to buy the whole thing- console and wii fix, it cost me $370 and I think it was worth every penny.

I like it. I like the strength training, yoga and the hula hoop. I like that it monitors your movements, and let's you know when you aren't completing it properly.

I think it is worth it. Of course, nothing beats the real thing, but if you have a baby carrier, you can strap your little one in and do some of the excerises.
