Hi everyone,

I am a military wife and have been overseas for quite sometime so I am completely out of the loop on this whole nursing school thing. I have finished my prerequisites for a nursing program. I was planning on doing my BSN before moving so I have every science class imaginable. Now I think it might be fast to do an ASN program but I don't know how to find out what the waiting lists are like. I don't have many options in Albuquerque. It looks like its either UNM or ITT Tech. I need to get a job sooner rather than later. If possible I will find a night job even if just part time. But really the question is how do you find the right school and how do you find out about their waiting lists?

This move is making me a little edgy because we are coming out of the military and everything is up in the air. We don't even know where we are going yet, I am just betting on New Mexico. I'm not sure if it is worth putting my name on the list if we won't even be going there. It's not like its free to do such a thing.

Sorry for venting. I'm all tied up in knots about this. Thanks for any help.

Do you apply to the nursing school? Or to the school itself then the nursing school?
