They can take my gun when they can pry it out of my cold dead hand. New Hampshire has the right motto LIVE FREE OR DIE!

Yes!! I am very worried, I am a single mom with grown children who no longer live at home. I work long hours and have always had guns around. I do not want to be defenseless in my own home nor on the road.

I was a little worried at first but come on it's not like they can just walk into our homes and take our guns! If they tried they would have a hell of a fight on their hands. With ammo prices going up hubby and I are going to start reloading. I'm super excited about that.

Quoting Kelly:

Yea im scared....VERY SCARED lol, we did stock up, just in case and we figure we're gonna use it all eventually.......right?

We're very stocked too, and my former military husband has about 10 contingency plans just in case XYZ does happen....better to have a plan (and a gun) and not need them rather than need them and not have them.

I'm worried about Obama, too, but would even a democratic congress go against the constitution? I just inherited some handguns that I have yet to shoot, however I am looking forward to going soon. My husband and I are looking into stocking up on ammo, but -- maybe I'm in denial-- how can Bama really change the constitution?! I'm sure ya'll have a lot to say!

yeah, my husband and i are both worried about what's going to happen, especially with what he's been talking about doing with the military, because we are a military family.

Ammo has went up 400% here in wv, we are trying to stock up too, now obama is trying to have people who own guns have insurance on each one up to (count it ($1,000,000) Can you believe it?

This is a concern for me and my husband. He travels for his job quite a bit, and I am left home with 3 kids. I just went through a harrowing week because houses in our subdivision were being broken into as well as cars. I have the gun safe next to my bed with a loaded Glock...the criminals were eventually caught 4 houses down from me. We try to get to the range every weekend so I can improve. Ammo is hard to find in my state as well, and when we do find it, it is outrageously expensive.

I think anyone who owns a gun needs to be worried about Obama and what policies he will try to enact on gun regulations. I just hope that the supreme court will do there job and protect our 2nd amendment right if is becomes violated!

I bought a taser gun just in case. I will not be without protection of some sort. My dad loads his own shells so he has been stocking up on powder, enough for him and my hubby. Hopefully and prayerfully we won't have to worry about this.

When Obama was being sworn in he blatenly said he would uphold our bill of rights, and now hes going against that. It all seems so illegal to me. He should not be able to do this. He is going to piss off so many people if he does this... It really will be a bad decision on his part.

Yes very worried. My Father was just talking to me this week about them making ammo that the gun powder expires in. So even if you did stock up you still loose it. My Dad reloads so I'm lucky in that aspect. He is very worried, not about him making the firearms illegal but making the actual bullets that you use to reload with illegal. If you think of it any of the four components used to reload could be made illegal and that would stop the reloaders. I have heard that he (Obama) wants to make and semi-auto weapons illegal. That means your Clock ect..shotguns, 22's all that. If you can get a high capacity mag ordered I'd do it now. DO NOT WAIT ANY LONGER it may be 4 or more years before you can buy them again. My husband and I bought high-capacities for both our Glocks. No, we don't use them but we have the right to have them so we bought them. It was only until after Clinton left the house and Bush came in to the office that we were able to buy high capacity's again.

Okay I'm writing a lot for my first ever post being in this group lol. Y'all have a great day! I'll keep my eyes on this feed & group. I love talking guns & hunting

Oh, you bet I am. My husband found that very shortly after he was elected someone officialy posted an outline of some of what he wanted to do and it included extremley restricting gun rights and sales. Once people found it and started to get the news out it was removed from the internet.(strange don't you think?)  My hubby wants to get a good amount of ammo now before the price skyrockets or you can't get it at all.

Most definately.   He scares the HELL out of me.  My children have env asked what we are goign to do when he comes to our house to take our guns away.

it is really sad that not more people saw this coming.

We're very worried also. We went to several different stores in our area to stock up on ammo and EVERYWHERE was completely out. They all told us that they weren't ordering anymore for a while either until they knew what Nobama would do. We finally had a bit of luck at Cabelas, although there wasn't much of a selection left. But hey, beggars can't be choosers right?

[deleted account]

YEAH HE WILL TRY. THEN ONLY THE CRIMINALS WILL HAVE GUNS, WE WON'T BE ABLE TO PROTECT OUR SELVES. OH...WAIT....YES, HIS CIVIAL ARMY WILL HAVE GUNS.

This a very scary thought I hope we have the right people in congress that will not allow this to take place. My God be with us all.

my hubby and i were talking about starting to stock up on ammo, especially for my hubby's rifle, which is a 257 roberts and the ammo is very hard to find and expensive. my hubby and i both grew up shooting/hunting and i want the same for our son, but w/obama in the house, that may not be a possibility any longer and that worries me greatly.

Yes, of course! Nationwide there has been a dramatic increase in gun purchases because people fear what Obama may do! I think the idea of stocking up on ammo is a great idea, since he's been trying to get rid of certain types of ammo too.

As George Mason said in 1788: "To disarm the people is best of most effectual way to enslave them."

we went to the gun range last weekend and so this weekend we went to stock up on the ammo we shot last week and mind you it was not much... We drove to 3 different stores and they were ALL sold out of ammo!

Protect my children, protect myself... Absolutely! My hubby is in law enforcement, and we run into ex-inmates all the time. Even on vacation in other states. Go figure.

I am on the same page with you sista. My way of thinking is my core values tell me to protect my family at all costs and if that means having my weapons at the ready then that's what needs to be done and damn the government if they are going to make that an issue for me.

I live in such a liberal state I have heard people say having guns in the house is not exibiting good family values. That thought process worries me. That is the same thinking that may get firearms banned.

My hubby & I were just talking about stocking up on ammo just in case it becomes difficult to purchase it later.
