Parenting can't always be "serious"....you gotta laugh and be a little obnoxious sometimes with your children...otherwise they will grow up without a sense of humor and might not be able to function in a world that is filled with depressing issues....sometimes you gotta laugh to get through your hard times!!! When my children were younger I would laugh with them....played hide and seek and when I read to them I used funny facial expressions to make them laugh!!! LAUGHTER is an important ingredient that we must pass onto our children.... LIVE....LOVE....and LAUGH till yur "Tummy Muscles" hurt!!! The family who "Laffs together"....can make it through ANYTHING together!!! :-)

How about this then...... I grew up with a die-hard smoker so I don't see smoking as a 'health risk' I see it as any other habit like drinking in safe amounts, or recreational pot use. I know some people who get sick from cigarettes, and I know some who live to be 100 still puffing away. Don't see it as a huge problem

Yeah that explanation still makes about zero sense to me. If you don't worry about health risks fine but then who would give a shit about germs? The only reason to worry anout them is their health risk unless you're in grade 6 and stressing about cooties.

I had to double check that I spelled it correctly. Double negatives and the use of "me and..." drive me crazy. Although the use of double negatives can be beneficial. (There isn't no man in my room.) I do use dangling prepositions though.

Do any of these make me obnoxious?

I am a grammar, spelling, pronunciation and semantics cop, although I have to go off duty on CoM or all I would do is write out citations:)

I am overwhelmingly compelled to point out when someone has facts wrong. I also like to give more detail. I've been told that I'm a know-it-all but I just think that the world is fascinating and like to share what I know.

I like to sing songs that I know will get stuck in someone's head just for that purpose. (BTW thanks Sara Hopkins; I still have that stuck in my head)

I like to play the devils advocate in arguments and then when I get someone thinking things differently, I'll argue for their original side. (Haven't done that on CoM yet)

Sarcasm is my friend. (In real life, not here yet.)

Am I obnoxious? I don't know. What do you think?

[deleted account]

I'm tiny :P I've never really felt the need to make myself bigger either--I fit well in my tiny skin. I always take other's feelings into account before I speak; I WILL say what needs to be said, but I try to find the most polite/diplomatic way to say it possible.
I could never go up to someone and just start screaming their head off.....I'd need to ask why they did whatever it was they did to upset me first, apply motive to the outcome, and thus find a solution. Screaming at someone never gets anyone anywhere....that I've seen anyway. Granted, they may not tell me why they did whatever they did, but at that point, why bother with them at all--it's just a waste of time and energy because they are not going to reason.

As for health risks? If I really cared, I wouldn't have dated a smoker. My mom is a die hard smoker and I know how true smokers can be - stubborn as F :) we all have our habits anyway so I'm not going to nitpick his unless I want him complaining I'm too fat.......... which then I'd get to call him fat back because the poor guy put on the same amount of weight with me these 2 pregnancies! Aww....
Nope, really don't care. I honestly think we'll all get cancer, explode from eating GMO food, get hit by an idiot who is texting on their phone while drinking and eating (figure that one out) or some other idiotic death by dumb Americanness....... screw it. :) I want to live..... but not eat everyones germs lol

Never noticed exactly HOW bad my mom did it until I moved out and we were all at my MIL's house and she ran me over 4 times in a row - I couldn't even finish telling a sentence or a story before she was off on something else. I had to point it out to her attention in order to get her to humble down a bit. Like seriously? Damn ma.......

Obnoxious? Probably to some people, although I am not really loud or offensive. I am annoying though, no doubt about it. I have a superiority complex. I like to be right all the time. There is my way of doing things and then there is the wrong way. I try not to be, but I AM judgemental and try to cover that by "seeing both sides of the coin" in arguments. So, I can see why you may not do things my way, but I still think I am better than you. Oh well, knowing my flaws is half of the battle in overcoming them, right? Right? Actually, it is probably an inferiority complex because I do it as a defence. I doubt myself a lot and over analyse my actions and thoughts. Ah, one day I'll go into therapy and pay someone to tell me for sure exactly how I am fucked up.

What I find obnoxious about other people is when they talk over others or don't listen to others or just generally ignore the natural flow of conversations by insisting they be the centre of attention. People that dominate conversations without really adding anything of interest etc. Oh and uncouthness, like picking your nose when I'm talking to you or coughing without covering your mouth (Dad, I'm talking about you here).

You have no idea how many first days of school I woould get the other HUGE chick walking up to me saying 'I heard you were talking shit' I'm like 'really, I JUST GOT HERE wtf I don't even know you' and that would end it usually lol man it would make me mad lol
but well, I don't have a pushover look nor attitude so no one really messes with me usually either. I'm big :)

I don't think I am 'obnoxious' (poor manners, rude demeanour etc), but I can certainly put on my bitch pants and go to town. I have a mouth on me when I'm angry. When I was younger and going out partying, I got myself out of several physical fights by berating the ever-loving shit out of the girl trying to cause shit. I'm 5'10, so instead of my mouth getting me in trouble, it actually saved me lol. Because I never ever started an argument/fight, but I sure as hell finished them ;)

We agree on politics. We aren't arguing about it. There are very rarely things in that department that we disagree on at all. Which is why all the yelling is so annoying. He's yelling at me because the person who he disagreed with on the tv isn't there for him to yell at. My daughter has learned that it's really just papa being silly and I've taught her how to give him the "talk to the hand" when he starts up. (okay, maybe that's a little obnoxious of me)

Like walk up to a cashier and scream at her why there was no water on the shelves (it's California). And well mom, it's not her duty! If it's something they can help, is in their area and they are being TOTAL idiots - yell. Could care less I think more people need to be yelled at lol maybe it will wake them the fuck up

Cussing, yes..... I don't drink well either 2-3 is my limit too and I get suuuuuper happy and talkative and friendly. Way too lovey. It brings out the heart in me that's hiding behind the Grinches most of the year lmao

I'm also one who likes to argue. I like to do it just to debate, but it's always respectful.

I'm also really clumsy. So I'm constantly knocking shit over...or just falling down. That's probably really obnoxious too :) hehe

*Edited to add*

I'm also vicious when people are assholes. I'll sit there smiling the whole time, while tearing them apart with "nice" words. I'll make them look like a complete jackass while being the hugest bitch in the world, and nobody seems to catch on to my evil doings..baaahahahaha
