So it seems like everyone I know is knocked up.

J was the baby on both sides and now he has been dethroned as my cousin's (who I am farely close too) g/f JUST had a baby boy. (yay, finally, poor girl lol.)

I love love love my boy. He is truly one of the funniest people I have ever met, he makes me SO proud and I love watching him turn into a little man...BUT, call it baby fever- all of these pregnancies and new bundles of joy have made me pretty reminiscent of when he was a newborn.

I am sure this has been done, but lets lighten it up again and for mommies with older babies, what do you remember the most about their infancy? For mommies with newborns, what are you enjoying right now?

I miss that baby smell.

I miss the baby laugh.

I miss the cuddles.

Heck, I miss everything.
Time to have another !?

I have a 2 year old daughter and now i have my 6 month old son. I love watching him play, and how he grabs his toes to nibble on, how he looks at me when i feed him :D How the two of them interact. To be honest, i can't wait for them to get a little older because i want to see them run around together and have fun. Love having babies but two is enough :D

Colic! Bah!

My 3 1/2 month old is just getting over hers, thank goodness.

But beside that, both my girls are/were joys as babies. Smiley, lovey, just loved people. It's awesome :)

But no more babies for me!!

I love cuddling with them when they fall asleep after breastfeeding :) As I type this my 2 week old is asleep on the boppy in my lap after having nursed. He's just so sweet!

Having a newborn again, with a toddler (20 months) makes me realize how EASY they are! I'm wondering how I ever thought having a newborn was hard, lol. All he does is eat and sleep. Granted, he wakes up every 2-3 hours to nurse all night and that IS hard. But compared to how needy my toddler is, this is simple.

I miss the smell of their breath when all they have ever eaten is breast milk. Mmmm.....sweet, milky goodness. :)

I loved staring at Eliza as she was breastfeeding. It was so relaxing and enjoyable for both of us. Call me weird (my husband does) but I can't wait to do it again with baby 2. Only a month to go!

I miss just being able to cuddle him for more than 30 seconds!
He's 3 yrs old now, so more interested in playing than cuddling :(
Tbh I miss everything about him being a baby..
But the plus side is that we do get to do more stuff together now; like footy games, trips to the zoo etc :-)

I miss breastfeeding and there being no one else in the world but us. I miss the smell also. But we have two and are happy. My baby is almost three. Time to move into the next stage of our lives. haha

She was just so tiny (5 lbs) and I could hold her in the crook of my arm and that's all she ever wanted to do - just sleep in my arm. She wasn't really unlike my little kitten was in that way. Ha. But I don't think I really enjoyed it as much as I should have. So many lazy hours cuddled on the couch...I'll probably never get to do that again. I'm sure having a toddler with a newborn is a little different!

She was happy almost all the time. Such a good little baby. Now she is sometimes cranky and there are many tantrums. I miss dancing her to sleep listening to my favourite music. Sigh.

I miss the breastfed explosions too, Katherine. This probably sounds demented but they smelled so good! Ewww, ok....I sound disgusting!

I miss when she started rolling over and would roll onto her tummy and stick her little bum up in the air. She doesn't do it anymore. :(

I miss the quiet, when she used to nap more often and couldn't talk. Ugh....I LOVE that she's so vocal and can talk so well, but MY GAWD, some days.....

my son is in junior kindergarten all day, he is this little growing-up person who has his own life...i'm like, nobody :( i can't wait to have a newborn again, it's been too long. only seven months to go...:D i miss middle of the night feedings and falling asleep with my wee, warm little bundle of sweet smelling adorableness. good lord i'm such a pregnant woman *facepalm*

i miss nuzzling their tiny little heads (although my first, 10lb 8 oz, had a giant head to match!). now the oldest is 2, and not so snuggly :( the youngest is 9 months and still snuggly but he is a wiggle worm, and the newborn stage went by soooo much faster with him, i hate it!!!!! but i do love watching their little personalities develop, they are amazing!

I misread the question at first. I thought it was going to be about missing having babies and wanting more...

I'm grateful every day that my kids are big enough to have a conversation with...I found mothering an infant exhausting and frustrating.

Don't get me wrong, I get a little misty when I see old photographs of them when they were babies but...I wouldn't go back for a million dollars.

It's funny you posted this. Last night I was going through old videos from when my son was a newborn. He's 3 now, and I'm feeling nostalgic because I spent part of yesterday on the phone with the school, finding out info on pre-school requirements. /cry!!! So my favorite video is one I took after feeding him. I was in my bed, with him propped up on my legs. He had a bad case of hiccup - farts, so I got out the camera and recorded him for a few minutes. In the video you hear "hiccup toot me laughing". Repeat for two minutes lol I miss those days but I look at him now and I'm so proud! It's like I want those days back, but I don't wanna give up these days either.

I miss them being so teeny tiny, being able to cuddle them whenever I felt like it, having an excuse to nap in the day!!

I miss their little baby smell!!

I'm certainly not broody for any more though, 2 is enough for me!!

My daughter is 22 mo now. I miss her snuggles and the closeness, although she is still pretty snuggly.

I do miss the cooperation like Krista said, with everything! Especially eating.
I love how she can talk to me now and tell me what's wrong or what she wants.

I miss the breast milk poops :(

Not really enjoying the toddler ones lol.

Erin, I'm totally clucky as well. Sam will always be my baby, but I have to face the fact that he's now this lanky 17-month old little boy.

What do I miss about babyhood? I miss how tiny he was and how it felt to hold him. I miss cuddling him in my arms and giving him his bottle.

I also miss how cooperative he was, especially in the tub. Those were good times. ; )

I remember the sleeping in my arms and feeding him and the way he looked asleep with a dummy in his mouth. I miss it!! He's 1 now and doesn't want dummies, bottles, even Elmo has been shafted. I'm looking forward to the next baby :)

Oh I miss my tiny baby! Not that mine was ever that tiny lol.

I miss the smell of a newborn. I miss the sounds she made when she was sleeping. I miss that perfect 'milk drunk' look new babies get with a full belly.

I am just clucky as shit :)

Im loving having a 6 month old again I enjoy seeing her so little and remembering whenmy 2 yr old was that small seeing her in those little clothes and remembering when my 2 yr old wore them seeing the differences between the girls, seeing her smile, her laugh, her first words (she just started talking yesterday;) the cuddles having her lay her head on my shoulder and fall asleep. Just everything I love having a little baby. I was only planning 3 before she was born, since I had her I decided I cant just have one more little baby I want at least 4 kids. Seeing them grow from a tiny baby is amazing
