I really need some help. I am 12 weeks pregnant and I'm having a hard time picking out a boy's name that starts with a B. I have my girl's name (Baylee Dianne) and now I just need a boy's name. I know it's really soon to be worried about this but I was like this with my daughter when I was pregnant with her. I had my baby names picked out by the time we found out what we were having. Here are some of the boy names I like:

Bowen
Beckett
Beric
Bryan

Nobody likes my boy's names. One of my sisters went as far as saying if I named my son Beckett, she was going to call him Becky. It's getting aggravating. The middle name is going to be Lane and the last name is Byars. I really need some help. I don't have too much longer before we find out what the baby is going to be!

I would avoid a "B" first name because without the middle name it just seems like a bit much with the last name, but that's just me and I know that's probably what you're going for. So if I had to choose a first name that started with B I would use Blaire Byars or Bradon Byars, there is also the Blaine but then you would have to find a different middle name.

I agree with Little Miss pick a name go through all the ways they could possibly be tormented by other kids, and if you're ok with that go with it and don't tell anyone. And if you really went to tell them then tell them when they have kids they get to choose the name!

My absolute favorite boy name that starts with a B is Bryce. I have always liked it but my husband won't go for it. Maybe it would work for you?

Good luck. I am 10 weeks pregnant and we also have our girl name picked out. I know what I want for a boy (Mayson) but my husband is not too keen. Although, I do have 30 more weeks, to convince him! LOL

My sons name now, is Chayse and my girls name is Courtnie. As you can see, I like oddly spelt names and I like a "y" in my boys name, for some reason, I cannot explain. ;)

There are a ton of b names. You don't have to pick one out this soon either. Just keep researching, and when you know it is the one, you will just know. You still have 28 weeks left!

LOL, Krista! That's exactly what I did, I said, "We're having 5 children, 3 girls and 2 boys. Their names will be Holly, Ivy, Fern, Bramble, and Lief. If we end up having 3 boys, I'm thinking Berry or Barry as a name. Do you find Berry too feminine?"

Everyone was very pleased with our son Thomas. :)

Do what I did. I told everybody that if I had a boy, I was naming him Gargamel, and if it was a girl, I was naming her Voltron. I did this with a straight face and stuck to my story.

If any family members had a problem with the name I DID wind up choosing (Samuel), they sure as hell didn't say so, considering the possible alternatives.

I actually decided to give my family a fake boy name because they were getting on my nerves about the whole thing. At least now I can have some type of peace and quiet. So I'm going with Bennett Lane and will call him Ben.

Little Miss: I found this website that will tell you the different ways a name can be bullied by other kids! It's pretty helpful!

Exactly Amy! When we were choosing my daughters name, Ophelia was at the top of our list. I LOVE that name, but all I could think about was the numerous ways she could be tortured in grade school "O I'm FEELING ya" was a big deterant from using it. We ended up NOT using that name because of all the ways you could twist it.

Out of those names I only like Bryan. If it has to start with a B... I like Bennett, Benjamin, and Brandon.

I once had a boyfriend called Byron - I think it's cool.

Cooler than Bryan, which to me is an old man's name.

Beric sounds OK - sort of celtic - but he'd have to spend his life spending it to people.

I have to admit, I don't really like any o f the boy names either. I really like non traditional names, but non of them are really doing it for me. Bowen reminds me of Boing the company, or bowed legs, or Rowen, which is starting to be really popular. Becket instantly made me thing of becky also, Beric just is Eric with a B attached. Sorry, not trying to be mean. But really if the name fits you and your baby, my best advice? Don't tell anyone the names you have in mind. Just tell them you don't know yet, and when the baby is born and it is on the certificate, that is when you tell them. That is how I handled my daughters name for most people. Just about 4 people knew what I was gonna name her.
